think its a very simple design of red and white stripes. Not too much going on with it.


AWAY


Gotta go with this one. It's one of the first shirts i had as a kid. I'd still like us to wear Yellow away shirts. Not the luminous ones though, they're trying too hard to replicate the original one which will never happen.

If we go through a redesign phase with Macron,they should use the templates above as forms of good kit design,particularly the Avec Home one from the mid 90's as it's a classic United kit.That yellow kit brings back memories of Philliskirk scoring the winner in injury time at Oakwell in '87,Agana's swivel and drive at Huddersfield in the cup in 1989,and Deano at Port Vale, Mansfield (Cup) and Bury in the same season.

No diamonds,broken stripes,or silly panels - just proper no-nonsense kits that looked good.And what's more,they were made by Umbro.

Should we end our agreement with Macron,it may be worth going back to them,as the current Athletico Bilbao home kit would suit us right down to the ground...
