What would you realistically be happy with next season?

Staying up.
Smashing the pigs home and away.

Realistic ? Just depends if we have a good successful transfer window and if we are taken over by some body who can finance team building to a decent standard .We should have a better idea in August and hopefully be more up beat than we are at the moment .

I'd be more than happy to see (new) players performing and bringing joy and excitement weekly/monthly based, not only the day they are bought and/or sold

Would like play offs, but not sure want promotion. Don’t think we will have a team to compete in the Premier league. That maybe take slightly longer to develop a suitable team

Avoiding relegation and avoiding losing both matches against Wednesday.

And avoiding finishing below Wednesday.

Oh God, next season is going to be fucking horrendous.

We will be in the process of a complete rebuild so I think lower mid table. Nowhere near play offs. Young players give us hope the season after. Not losing to the snort beasts.

Champions no more no less, or possibly 2nd or at a push playoffs , and if not that a top half finish as if its bottom half i think we always get relegated if were in the bottom half

This struck me as a rather random comment, and then I thought - actually, you do have a point…

The bottom half of a division, minus the relegation places, constitutes 35-38% of the division (depending on which division you’re in) so you should expect to finish there roughly that proportion of the time. I stand to be corrected, but as far as I can see, we haven’t actually managed it since 2002, when we finished 13th in the second flight. An impressive 22 years of avoiding that rather dull and uninteresting fate.

I’m sure there are other clubs which have had longer runs - particularly those in the top half of the top division - but for a club which has bounced around the divisions quite a lot in that time, it’s an impressive feat.

Will next year be the end of the run?

For me it would be not being relegated again and having bought some good young promising players and bringing some through from the youth. Really not bothered about going back up again without having a pot to urinate in.
Is it only me that finds the announced words “football’s greatest anthem” for GCB a bit cringeworthy ? So please next season let’s accept it is great but not necessarily the best.
As for the season I go for excitement, goals, several wins and 7th place.

New owners and a team capable of going up and staying up then build on that .With or with out wilder

I just want to enjoy watching football again and something to believe in. I never believed we could amount to anything last season. I want to believe the players are "all in". For that to happen some of the characters or lack of characters from last season can't ever play for us again. I want the players and fans to connect again and make bramall lane a loud, intimidating and horrible place for opposing teams to come. I think wilder can do this if he's given half a chance.

A style of play that is attack minded.

A couple of players that get you off your seat and make you smile. Think Ndiaye and Duffy

Top half finish

Goals for at least 75 goals against no more than 45

Folks not using exit door to enter bogs on the kop

I think we could eventually get rid of singing about chip buttys all together.

Like to start with a 25 man squad whose fit and ready to go from the off!

We have about 9 senior pros on the books 4 of whom will probably leave and we are completely potless.

Staying up is the priority next season and it ain’t going to be easy

Young strong fit robust players who are proud to wear the shirt and take responsibility by putting in the effort to develop themselves.
Some heroes I can respect.
No Souza type lazy coasters.
No Anel type mardybums.
No continually injured crocks.
No Gbric.
No players who don't want to be here.
Except Hamer.
I have zero expectations of where we'll be in the table , but I want to see some team spirit.
