No idea. Anyone know how much it was for a kid on John Street Terrace in 1971?

Not sure about football, but my first Arctic Monkeys gig was £5
I came to Sheffield when I was 17 in mid 71. I can’t remember what I paid to stand on John Street, but I remember that bitter was 10p a pint where I lived.
I guess an adult ticket now is about 8-10 pints, so that would mean the equivalent in 71 was about 80p.
It would be interesting to see a table of say an adult Kop ticket price over time against the equivalent number of pints of bitter at the time.

A shilling for me on kop
What you say helps me as the earliest I can remember is 2/6 adult on the Terrace. I believe children were a all ground half price, hence 1/3, 3d extra for being touch line against behind goal. This was '51/3 time although I had started being taken to a number of reserve games from August 1947 in the John St. Stand, Bramall Lane end, as seen on right of photo. I can still recall the bemusement of the glass end to the stand, although I don't think it had been cleaned for a long time at that point in time Price I ain't got a clue, reckon it was my grandfathers treat to himself and easier to keep me in control, Do recall we seemed the only ones in that area.A shilling was the price for kids on the kop or Bramall Lane end in 1948. That's 5p in today's money. I think adults paid two bob. When they put it up to half a crown my dad stopped going. He was the archetypal tight-fisted Yorkshireman. I used to go on my own from about the age of 10.

Did your uncle run the Kings Head, Pool Rd., Darnall at some point in time and does the name Albert Jackson, ring a bell with you. Albert was my mothers cousin and befriended a Butler who ran the pub, spending time helping at the pub despite having a job at the Admiralty on Janson St. The landlord had some connection with Butlers on Brook Hill, what it was I don't know, thinking it could be your Uncle Steve. There’s been a thread on these not so long ago.
My Uncle Steve had one and he let me use it in the early seventies, when I was an impoverished student. There was a designated entrance to the Kop, on John Street and there was always a line of young lads outside, as the disc allowed one adult plus two juveniles in.
Two bits of social history in one post, but my Uncle Steve was Steve Butler, who owned and ran Butler’s Dining Rooms on Brookhill and although he and the cafe are no longer with us, his memory lives on through Butler’s Balti, down the road.
I also remember being put in there by my dad a couple of times. I remember specifically asking him one time why I had to go in there, might have been the River Plate friendly.28/4/79 blades v charlton junior blade 70p, program 25p my dad stuck me in the junior pen on my own while he went in the ‘new’ south stand tight git.
Thought we’d stay up after that, wasn’t the last time in the last 41 years I got it wrong.
