Do we go for "established" players, ones with a proven track record, at least at Championship level? We've tried that with Howard and Halford - one more successful than the other.

Do we go for players that have done well in lower divisions, like we already have done with Ward? Beckford's name has been put forward.

What about players that might be in need of building their reputation back up, like James Beattie did? Joey Barton is one that has been mentioned, but will players from the Premiership want too much money, and will they be good for the team, or just Big-Time Charlies?

Or should we try to improve from within, by bringing Academy players through? The two Kyles are the most recent to come up from the Academy, but Small Quinn has done it. Maxime Chanot is perhaps one whose name springs to mind, and a certain Forum Dad will be happy.

Who do we go for, and why?

I say give the kids a chance & mix them with experienced players. More importantly though we need a chance of tactics as no matter who we have, if we play hoofball all the time then we could have ronaldo & messi & it wouldnt make any diff what so ever.

I have really liked Ward since he came but I think we need a proven Championsip (older or ex-prem if possible) striker. Someone for Ward to learn from and play off.

Personally I wouldn't mind if all the rest of our strikers were replaced (with the correct people of course). Quite like what I have seen of Lupoli but I haven't got a clue about his situation.

I know most people will say the same bt you need a mix of youth and experience. We have quite a bit of good youth but I think we need a ew older head - especially in the middle of the park. I know he isn't a possibility but I would love someone like Carlsey, always in the right position and runs the game from just in front of the defence (if only Monty was more creative and could play a pass). But maybe those players dont often exist at this level??

I think our defence is strong but I'm not sure how many of them will be here come the start of next season.

One of these days were also going to need a left winger (an actual left footer, now a full back or striker just stuck out there).

Thats my thoughts anyway.

Simon Cox or Jermaine Beckford.

if not i hope we spend some cash in getting a prolific goalscorer, and then bring up some youth for the midfeild, adopt an attackign style and hopefully they'll run there legs of at the between cotterill and hopefully halford.

Zeyn L'Hatef? Im not sure if that's his name but i like the look of him.

Xavi & Iniesta

i think they might be able to do a job in the midfield, McCabe is probably too much of a cheap skate to sign them though!

I'd sign anyone who is willing to fight for the blades and fits in with our plans under new management.

Someone who is fast can head the ball, score wonder goals and tap-ins, take on 6 or 7 players and create chances out of nothing and can play in any posistion. Shouldn't be to hard to find then!!
