What kind of a performance was that?

A fucking good one.

It was a game so many Blades teams in recent years would have lost but we harried, battled and worked for a point there. We got past their time wasting, injury-feigning, one chance on the break shit housers and got a valuable point that was more valuable for them not getting three.

Every player worked hard, played well and contributed to that. Sit them down on the coach and tell them they’ve earned every penny this week, as is so often the case with this team.

They’re second and threw everything they had at us and they’ve earned a point from us compared to our four from them.

Get out!

P.s I know we all know this but Duffy, what a player.

Duffy starts and we might’ve won that game. We just don’t create chances without him being on the pitch for some reason, even if it’s not him setting them up he’s taking a defender or 2 out of the game.

That’s not me saying Dowell or Madine played poorly because they didn’t. Madine in particular nearly scored from a chance of his own making directly after their 2nd goal.

yes to all of that. I was impressed with our strength of character today. We battled hard to get back in the game twice. And looked the better side in the end. Very happy sat on the coach going home!

With regard to getting a suitable replacement for Duffy. Think we’re gonna have to “kiss a few frogs before we get a prince”..........or break the bank of course?

Duffy started against Swansea and was not very good.
Maybe starting Dowell and Duffy coming on when opposition players are tired is the way forward.
We do seem to struggle late in games, we don't seem to get late goals like Norwich and Leeds do.

I thought it was a certain loss after their second, but in the end we were unlucky not to take all three points. Very good second half from the lads.
Baldock MOM for me.
Norwich decent team. Stiepermann and Aaron the standout players for me.

Duffy was good against Swansea in the first half and we created 2 fantastic chances we should’ve scored from. When he went off... nothing.

It was a decent performance. Especially defensively, despite conceding twice. I don't think either team were at their best. It was a good, closely fought game and probably the right result. I thought we were very close to winning that game though, the opportunity was certainly there. We just conceded at a very bad time. The wing backs had a big job on today but both did very well, as did JOC and particularly Egan.

Norwich looked like a good well balanced, well functioning team. When they won the ball they rarely gave it us straight back, we had to work for it. They were sharp and tidy. The two young full backs are a huge part of their game and Stiepermann, who I suggested as a signing when he was out of favour, really impressed me, he's got a lot about him and looks good in the central role. Pukki also very impressive with good touch and movement.

Agree.... Without Duffy we create very little. Even if Duffy is not the created, he takes players out if the game and gives others space.
The fact that his role is known as the 'Duffy role' says everything. We know like Sharp he can't play for ever, but we may probably never find a perfect fit, no matter how much we spend. We are probably better making slight adjustments to our style.

I'd have taken a draw before the game.

I watched the game on iFollow and thought we were good for a point.

More than happy.

According to Ian whoisit ( former Manager) on "EFL on Quest "it was the best Championship match he's seen all season

Very good performance & showed a lot of sprit after twice being behind and on another occasion might possibly have nicked it but it’s a good point all the same.

I thought one big contributory factor was our pressing opposition when in posssion was back to our best today against a tidy passing team & forced them into a lot of errors

Madine occupied centre halves well & that freed up a lot of space for Billy & Stevens & Baldock we’re also at their best

Well done lads UTB

Some good reports there. Only saw highlights on Quest but worrying how they waltzed through our defence for their goals.

All about opinions i though he wasn't very good.
But at least we now have a option, because i think we have struggled when Duffy is not on his game or late in games when he seems to tire a bit.

I blamed Baldock originally but I think it was a very good run right between George and Egan.
I thought Baldock was goin to get tore to bits early on, they ran at him, he gave his daft free-kicks away in dangerous areas but in the end he came good.
Some of his end product was a lot better than usual too.

It could be because they started to play more narrow and all their chances and breaks came through the middle, but I will give Baldock the credit this time. He did well.

The media love Norwich don't they?

I'm proud of our lot, to come fighting back twice. We played quite well against a side that cost a ton more than ours to build. Imagine how good we'd be if we could afford a Hernandez.

Our lad pops up again though, born to score goals. Great to silence their fans.

This was an excellent result. We stopped Norwich moving too far in front of us and it means they have only taken one point off us all season. It also shows how much stronger we are than this time last year (where we would have probably come away with nothing).

One of Billy Sharp's best games, beat players to the ball, jumped higher than I've ever seen him before. For a man who many claim has lost his legs, he played amazingly

Penalty like a missile, no one was going to stop that, great header as well, he can't do that with a 6ft 4" defender stood on his toes, but give him space and he is lethal.

I'd be surprised if any one said that ,he never had any pace in the first place
Players do get less effective as they get older it's not insulting to say that, that's why they don't play until 65

They put together some very good moves. Why is it that when we put together a great move, with good passing and movement everyone acknowledges how good it was but when the opposition does it, we blame our defence?

but Coppinger still not looking too shabby at 38, just for all those that are already writing off Sharp and Duffy who are both only 33

Obviously we expect their defence to have human failings whereas our defenders have to be super human.

Duffy is critical in how we play whether he plays well or not. He helps create the overlap on both wings. This is something that Woodburn couldn't comprehend in his only start and something Dowell needs to pick up.
