What is our biggest problem ?

Our biggest problem now is the 2 x CH's - nice footballers, both soft footballers.

We can play with Egan and Davies, but not with Norwood or Fleck in front - again, too soft and can't/won't tackle.

We need to put a defensive midfielder there who will just sit, break up play BEFORE it gets to the centre halves and give simple balls to the ones in front.

We are conceding goals and losing games we should not be losing.

We once again today had 59% on someone else's pitch who are now top of the league - it doesn't need to be like this - we are too open down the middle and the side because we push both full backs on. Yeah it's great going forward and looks nice, but we concede goals.

The pattern has now emerged - and it will carry on until we stop what is happening.

Defensive midfield player, or two or back to 3 at the back - take your pick or the season will fizzle out before it gets going.

There's till time............come on Slav get it sorted. You've said yourself, YOUR honeymoon period is now over.

The Sheffield United cycle of incompetence continues

Poor players, playing crap, waiting for years for a fan to become manager to put some life into them

Or

Decent players, proven at other clubs, slightly better than we're used to, but for some reason can't produce it with Sheffield United

Then eventually
Back to poor players, waiting around for years until a fan becomes manager to put some life into them

It's pathetic really

The conundrum I'm working on this evening is whether there is such a thing as a good cereal bar. So many to choose from but none seems to deliver
Home bargain have some absoloutey outstanding protein bars called battle bites
20 g protein 3g sugar and 8g fibre
Taste delicious and only just over a pound
Better than any cereal bar
I recommend the carrot cake

up front for me put somebody like mitrovic up top and we would be certs for top 6 think slav will address that problem in january
If and it's a big if, HRH could take it on the chin scrape 20 mill. for McB, Brewster, Berk and Moose and the rest of the dead wood, give it to Slav and say no shit Slav, find me a striker.

Our biggest problem is...Every team in this league knows that SUFC are trying to play a system they aren’t comfortable with. Every bloody coach (good or bad) knows, if you press down our ponderous midfield and defence...You’ll be guaranteed a mistake at some point. We have become the easiest team to play against in this league.

I think there's three players who have been with us for long enough that just aren't what they were. Yet they still somehow get into the team. We all know who they are. It just feels like they have had too many opportunities to me. They might have one good game in five or six. That is all. It's not good enough. They should be setting an example to the younger players. The number of times they give the ball away or make silly errors is ridiculous.

Imagine if we had Ronaldo. With all the mistakes we make he'd be storming off down the tunnel in a strop every game!

continually giving sloppy goals away at one end and continually missing sitters at the other end mid table or a relegation battle if it continues

I would say the most recent problem we face is incredibly inept officials who can’t communicate with one another or face up to any kind of responsibility for being shit.

Other than that it’s the inability to convert possession into goals.

Biggest problem is losing the ball via a lack of composure or poor decision making. We have got into the habit of getting through on goal or into the penalty and then wanting to play an extra pass, score a top bin or meg a defender with a back heel assist.

Examples of the problem came recently against Middlesbrough, we had two chances one for Stevens and one for Sharp through on goal and made the wrong decision. Yesterday, Ndiaye got into a good space on the left and played an extra pass and if we aren’t playing an unwarranted extra pass we are over complicating football with too many little flicks and tricks (their is a time and place for it) when we could simple hold and play, loads of examples of that yesterday, but it was a similar story against Preston and derby. Getting into to good areas isn’t the issue, we do plenty of that, it’s knowing what the best action to take is.

This has been very visible thing in couple of games and looked many times to being done just for the show not so much because those were needed.
Other thing that might be called problem is that we have missed handful of goals in easy situation that already looked like a certain goal.

Well there is now small brake to get things together and maybe we look bit different again like we did after previous international brake. Hopefully Berge gets his fitness in level that allows participating in League games and one or two other midfielders impress the manager to get a place in starting XI, so Norwood and Fleck can get some rest.

Playing the ball around the back. I think Olsen must be used to playing with better players, because he plays it to defenders who are under pressure and they struggle to cope.

There is something fundamentally wrong with the entire DNA of the club.

Occasionally we get a "fan" manager who gets the best out of shit players by shouting, bawling, screaming, kicking the players up the arse, and using somewhat outdated shop floor management, with an occasional bit of "hard but fair" thrown in.

And very occasionally we have a team of good players who for some reason never do the business whilst they're here.

In fact the better the player is, the less likely he is to perform for us.

We could swap our entire coaching, managerial and scouting staff for Brentfords, we could swap our entire team from the first eleven to the under 5's, and we would still struggle to put two decent passes together.

DNA...... Sheffield United's is flawed, hence Club Retard

We need a poll...

for me the problem is the same as it has been for the last 2 years......midfield....poor both defensively and offensively. Do not offer much to protect the back 3 or 4 and provide scraps for the forwards.
I agree about midfield. Too lightweight , not physical enough or tall enough. Looking at the Bournemouth side they were all giants and their midfield were not only tall but quite quick

It’s as though all our play has to be initiated from defence every time. If we run out of ideas in the oppositions half, the ball seems to find its way back to John Egan’s feet, as a sort of default position.

Missing chances, no good having 60% possession that means nowt.it is goals that count.
