What is our biggest problem ?

You don’t win anything without a decent midfield .. you can’t blame defence as they get no cover can’t blame attack as they get no service .

I honestly scratch my head and wonder what Fleck and Norwood do all game.

Hopefully we've got a replacement for MGW in January when he goes back to wolves. Without MGW our midfield looks very worrying.

Fitness and injury problems would indicate that, despite some limited success, we are still in pre-season for the most part.
Slav has to deal with this issue, while still coming to terms with the lack of depth in the squad, and the painfully slow uptake of his tactical preferences.
I’m sure both issues will be resolved eventually, but that’s just me being optimistic.

Boro, Huddersfield, Birmingham, Derby and Luton games we had all the ball, played some good stuff but couldn't create good chance, or at least a number of them.

Against Boro we were also outmuscled in places (Preston too). It was like the land of the giants.

The physicality part can't be fixed quickly as all our players are small. But the creativity bit just needs working on.

for me the problem is the same as it has been for the last 2 years......midfield....poor both defensively and offensively. Do not offer much to protect the back 3 or 4 and provide scraps for the forwards.

One or two changes in midfield might do good.

Every decent team has a midfield enforcer, someone who protects the defence wins the ball and then gives it to someone who can use it.
we do not tackle the opposition until they approach our penalty area

Genuinely think out flakiness at the back is solely down to playing two central midfielders who just can't defend or even support the defense and have zero physical presence, it exposes the defense every single time the opposition go forward. Looks like this was a key area Slav identified too with the Ronaldo Vieira target and obviously the Guedioura signing

Agree 100%.

Fleck appears to have forgotten how to tackle without just launching himself in and constantly giving away fouls. Norwood does actually put in the odd decent challenge but most of the time runs around pointing at other people to make the tackle....
