What date did Speed officially sign from Bolton ?

I know he came ON LOAN on 1st January 2008 but I cant find what date United actually signed him for £250,000. SUFC official site says 2/1/2008 for £250k but you cant really trust them for actual facts can you
Ive been through the Archives on here and a few more sites but havnt found a date he became a United player.

I think the permanent deal was tied up pretty quickly so the O/S may be right. As I recall, it was pushed through as a loan initially just so he could play on New Years Day.
