Why do Gillingham FC get cheaper tickets than Sheff Utd to sit in the exact same seats as us 2 days earlier??

Yes they play lower league football but that doesn't mean that they have got lower paid jobs!

Club Wembley is only £56 for that game...

I think its disgusting. They really are robbing us and Burnley blind. They may aswell tie me up blindfold me and just take all my belongings!
:mad::mad:

I stated in a thread earlier it's not fair that they are charged half the amount we are.

I can understand if it was like a tenner more, but how they can justify tickets being £40 more expensive for us is beyond me.

Thank ourselves lucky.. Chelsea v Everton tickets go for like £150-£200 +

For the same reason that it costs more to watch Manure than Chester.

I'd accept that if there wasn't

A) such a big difference in price between us.

B) England games are still a lower price.

Yeah but you expect to be disappointed by England so no one will pay OTT prices for England tickets. :)

A) The Division Two play off final is a bigger draw than the Division Three equivalent. It's only the same as comparing different ticket prices for concerts. I've just paid £77 for two tickets to see Green Day. Would I expect to pay £77 for two tickets to see Dumpy's Rusty Nuts? Of course not.

B) And they still rarely sell out, whereas this match will as near as damn it sell out.

Don't get me wrong, it's still daylight robbery, but I think that £26, let alone £56 to watch Gillingham v Millwall (hopefully) is daylight robbery too.

Firstly..... when did Greenday tickets go on sale?

Secondly it's not the same ;) for the reasons being, these fans still love their teams the same as you and I love United. So it's not like us going to see these teams at all.

The other Friday. They sold out in a couple of hours or so, but I managed to get through online.

I'm sure some people still love Dumpy's Rusty Nuts as well ;) It is the same though. Would you expect to pay as much to see DRN at the Arena (might echo a bit if they did play there ;)) in the same place where Green Day had played the night before?

They did then add some additional dates/tickets for elsewhere though I believe :)

No idea if they are still available though.

Well if I was a massive fan of DRN, then I would be willing top pay more for them than I would be Greenday if I didn't like them particularly.

'Willing' and 'expecting' are two hugely different things though.

And it's still daylight robbery :D

Ahhhhhh,

But I am willing to pay a higher amount for these tickets even though I didn't expect it to be so much. ;)

But yes, robbery the dirty ba......

Thats probably got a lot to do with higher demand and fewer tickets. I think they only got about 21,000 tickets each for the cup final. less than half the capacity for BOTH clubs put together. Now that's disgusting!

Supply and demand
Market forces

Just 2 phrases used to justify screwing people over!

From what I remember of Dumpy's Rusty Nuts you could get in free cos everybody was usually off their box long before Dumpy hauled himself away from the bar to go on stage. The "Who looks most like Fred Flintstone" competition used to make it all worthwhile tho!! :p

err...ahem...you mean Scunthorpe Utd v Millwall

Wondered when someone would notice :) ..... ahem ..... actually, I meant Gillingham v Shrewsbury though, then cocked it up later on by waffling about the Third Division instead of the Fourth Division .....

Oh well :D
