Be interesting to see how they get on, they’ve already dropped a bollock having to sign Costa and Augustin permanently (£35m ish) as per their loan deals. Those two won’t be good enough for the prem as Leeds fans don’t rate them as it is. They need players obviously but they’re a big club with money so will attract. Could do a Fulham/Villa but could easily do a top half.

Because arguably they are a bigger club than us with wider like and dislike in the same measure. Leeds is an important business City with a broad urban sprawl in a one club city. The BBC are there. Yorkshire TV and post are there. They’ve won the league in living memory ( to some ) twice. That widens fan base. You did ask.
 
Leeds & (if) Forest come up, with Bournemouth & Watford going down, definitely upgrades the fixture list. As funny as it will be if Villa go down, it’s far a better fixture than either of the other two.

Probably WBA as the 3rd promoted club in place of Norwich.

and Money
Leeds are a brand name and a money name the premiership will use to sell their product , they do have a lot of support ( my father and brother in law both follow them )
It at least guarantees us 2 games next season on Sky
And unlike the telly tubby club
Over the hills and far away that’s where Dem Pigs 🐷 like to play
It’s great to see Yorkshire’s 2 biggest clubs in the prem

Inevitable they would get promoted. There was only Brentford that could snatch it off them but it was too little too late.

Fulham as expected flopped at the final hurdle under Parker.

I’d much rather have us pigs and Leeds in the premier league for the last 10 years instead all three of us were going nowhere doing nothing rotting in the championship/league 1
 
Things to enjoy about Leeds promotion:
  • They do play good football
  • Tasty atmospheres
  • Will piss off the pigs
  • Media circle jerk will allow us to quietly go about our business
  • Elland Rd has been a happy hunting ground recently
  • You just know it’s going to go tits up when things don’t go their way - “El Loco” doesn’t hang about in times of trouble

They have won the Championship and Leeds is one of the top 6 cities for football in the media.
They were English champions less than 30 years ago and European semi finalists.
Why wouldn’t the media concentrate on them , not just now but all the coming season ?
Don’t get me wrong I was ecstatic when Bash scored against them and even more when they lost to Wigan, but get used to them being ahead of us in media presentations as that will be the case all next season.

Ten million likes. Our derby is against Wednesday. Dingles, Rovrum, Bradford, Huddersfield, Hull (fucking Hull!) and Leeds are all just matches. It’s the media that like to hype the shit out of it. Anyway, Leeds will now be able to play their big rivals, Man United, the rivalry being based on Leeds fans thinking they are still European heavyweights for some deluded reason.

I find their squad approach intriguing.

They just spunked 15m on Costa, the guy Wolves were happy to bin.

They've somehow managed to commit themselves to 17m for a guy the manager seems to not rate. Not sure if they can get out of that one.

They appear to have pushed back the 8m purchase of Harrison but in doing so use up one of only 2 loan spots.

Their best defender by a country mile will head back to Brighton who I would imagine will greet him with open arms. What a boon for them to send a young lad on loan for a year, be tutored by someone of Bielsa's experience and return as one of the most accomplished defenders in the league below. Probably the sort of player they would be interested in, had they not owned him already!

Already saying we going to be like sheffield United and talk sport are so love Leeds. Clubs like wolves and Blades ppl want to emulate them. Which when clubs copied their model failed. Imo
