Not sure he is a CF.

Didn't fit our system. Don't think he ever would have. They should be playing him wide. Who knows, Burke might be a flop and if he isn't, a smart upgrade by CW in that position. Worth a punt either way when we also got 3m coming our way too. Savvy business.

100%, it was complete no brainer for me when you factor in the cash balance. Burke is a gamble but Robinson had been a little underwhelming and was simply not going to cut it in our system.

Burke doesn't have to do a lot to be a better option than Robinson.

If he gets a couple of goal involvements and occasionally makes a tackle he's 1000% better.

1 goal 2 assists
9 starts 16 appearances

That's all Burke has to better.

I didn't want Robbo to go, but he just struggles in a live Match to produce what he does on the training ground , Burke has some terrible reviews on WBA site , but one thing they all agreed on is that he is Fast , very Fast , and Chris knows how he want to play him so after hes been coached and knows his job it might work well for us ,In Wilder we trust .

Interesting that one of them mentioned about him dancing in the changing room, when they got promoted, as a reason they should sign him.

Funnily enough when I watched the same clip, they were pretty much my exact thoughts too. 😉

Shouldn't have sold him, he's scored more than our strikers, wasn't given a proper chance, etc etc etc

The floor is open....

Great strike to be fair would have been in the top 3 goals we scored all last season

Huge goal that can’t be letting teams like WBA build up steam

Its what happens when you start have players good enough to be attractive to direct rivals. Why are people getting pissed off? Not every player we sell off is going to be to lower league clubs where we don't really have to give a shit if they turn out a good performance or two.

We arent going to always have other clubs pants down when we make a sale. Clubs will buy a player off us because they reckon thry can use them better than we did and they will sometimes be right. It's not a bad thing. It means we might make a bit of money now and again and be avle to buy players that suit us better. Fuck knows we need that now.

The other option is to hoard players because they might turn good again. Another team not too far away did that. Turned out well for them.

As did all our other strikers, would you sell all of them?
No I wouldn't !! Robinson was the least effective. In my opinion it didn't work out for him here (scored 2 & did ok yesterday). Regarding our other strikers.... why would I want to sell Mcburnie? Mousset clearly is capable whilst I class Mcgoldrick more as an attacking midfielder. Billy is Billy, hope he goes on to a coaching role with us. Chris Wilder makes the decisions & gets most of them right, I agree with moving Robinson on as most of his performances were average to poor.

Very well said, I was going to say something similar but couldn't be arsed. It's obvious, isn't it? You sell a player that another club thinks will do a job for them - you sell to another PL club and they think that player will do a job for them in the PL. When he does, why are people pissed off about it? It suited us to sell. Or at least, Wilder thought it was a good idea to sell and he sinks or swims on his own decisions.

As did all our other strikers, would you sell all of them?
Actually, if Wilder thought he could do a deal where he sold one of our under-performing strikers and got another striker in return whom he thought could do better - perhaps combined with the fact that the outgoing striker wanted to be elsewhere - I don't see why he woudn't do it.
