We're very well set for the derby

The consensus on Saturday in Glasgow was that Celtic would score 3,4 possibly 5...

I'll be keeping my powder dry until 2200 on the 12th.

Sadly I can only give you the one like.

Don't forget the mocking Arsenal fans who now have squeaky bum time about their oh-so hilarious St Totteringham's day conceit.

'Pride comes before a fall' and all that.

just been on porktalk and found out bannan is injured and will miss the derby

It would be horrible if they had 5 or 6 key players injured and we didn't beat them. We should use that as extra motivation.

Them getting battered today surely means they'll have a new manager in for the derby, which is not great timing for us. Hopefully it's someone shit. Maybe David Weir fancies another go.
well him and mark warburton no longer have jobs at forrest so you never know

Amazed.
Bannan can actually type (and with decent grammar too)...

and he's turning into Bonnie Tyler...

And we need you now tonight
And we need you more than ever
And if you only hold us tight
We'll be holding on forever...

anything can happen in a derby match ,but we know our players will turn up and give it everything not sure they do!

Well, I, for one, am disappointed. He is top of the list of those I was looking forward to boooooooooooing at the top of my voice a week on Friday. With his face that says "please slap my face", and his legs that are too short for his body.

Maybe Chansiri would refund the cost of the derby from my season ticket ?

Wilder had better have a Plan B in mind because if they set up, play hoof, time waste and roll around like Norwich & Bolton we will not beat them.

The board can play their part by getting a couple of players in, keeping our best players and getting the good vibe around the place back again

Before a derby a score draw is the one to go with, however what I am excited about is going into a derby on a Friday night, at home when our confidence is high and theirs is low, dont guarantee out but I would prefer that to anything else.

I really hate it when our fans get over confident ahead of a Derby game. We run the risk of sounding like they did before the match in September and we all know how that worked out.

Form book goes completely out of the window and our recent home form has been patchy. They could easily have a new manager in place by then and who knows what affect that might have.

I'd happily take a draw now.

it ended 0-0. Celtic were lucky to draw....

It really is the hope that kills you....
Same with Liverpool v Everton before Christmas.

Be careful blades. I remember us beating them at the lane 2-0 in 1991 and 3-1 away with Bobby scoring twice in 1992. The first win in particular the form book went straight out of the window. On paper we should have been battered home and away and it didn't happen. On the day everything else will go out of the window and it will mainly depend on two things:

1. Who wants it most on the day.
2. Who has a bit of luck on the day.

its a complete one off game, much like a cup tie. Any result is possible and any player can be a hero or a villain.

That said, we are in a superb position.

Im sure Wilder will rest lots of players in the cup and then give them a hell of a pep talk to send them out baying for blood and a great double.

They need a miracle really, but football is capable of throwing up all sorts of results, esp in derbies.

I wait with baited breath.

UTB!

Bassett , Warnock ,Wilder these are the managers you want goin into a derby.come on yraww.

For those that are saying the form book goes out the window in derby games should really take a look at both team's last 6.

The form for both teams is poor with ours only slightly better than theirs. We've taken 5 points from our last 6 with Pigs taking 3 so not much of a difference there while both of us have only won just the once during the last 6.

So the biggest difference between both teams has got to be the performances, ours have generally been very good ones despite the results whereas the Pig's performances have warranted the results they've actually gotten.

However recent performances no matter how good or bad for either team can still go completely out of the window going into a derby game.

Rumour has it that Jose Riga is about to be appointed as their new manager.

Some may recall a fairly disastrous tenure at Charlton. Currently unemployed after recently managing in Belgian 2nd Division.

Oh dear more turmoil on porkie talkie, I don't think they can take any more, loviiiiiin it.

Update from official site. It's going to be cosy.

There are approximately 100 seats remaining in the family stand and approximately 20 clear view single seats and 70 restricted view seats remainining in the Pukka Pie corner.

The Hualing South Stand, Westfield Health Corner, Kennedys Kop and Redbrik Upper are completely sold out.

It really winds me up That The pig in charge of the safety advisory committee has reduced our capacity by three thousand for no apparent reason

We need to learn from over confidence, we’ve shown it a few times this season and looked like twats when we’ve lost. If the pigs had a thread on porktalk of this ilk we’d be calling them arrogant, let’s not be like them.

They could always bring in a manager who gets them up for it. It'll be a close game.

If we get off to a good start it could be a great day but no arrogance or over-confident predictions needed in a derby.
UTB

Last derby at BDTBL we were 3-0 up at half time :):):), the second half was a very nervy affair.....:eek:

Good result though :p:p:p - :(:(

The form book didn't go out of the window in September but I take your point as neither side is pulling up any trees.
