We're Sheffield United, we shouldn't do bloody gamesmanship!

Fantastic win, delighted to finally have a happy journey home. I don't like moaning at players when they lose, so I'll have a moan when we have won!
How many players went down injured when we went 2-1 up? I hate it when Swansea, Preston and Norwich did it, so I won't be a hypocrite, I expect better from us. In particular when O'Connell went down 'injured' in our area, and Henderson threw it back. QPR threw it out for a goal kick, to be honest I wouldn't have blamed them if they had refused to do so.
For United fans chanting 'playing football the Norwich way' ; fine, but don't complain next week if Norwich play football the Norwich way!
Moan over, Up The Blades!!

Slow it down, slow it down Sheff United, slow it down, slow it down ..............................

It’s just professionalism win away any way you can

Refs/the rules let teams get away with it so we’d be crazy not to do it and I’m very happy to see us do it.

But like you I ain’t a hypocrite and don’t moan when teams do it to us.

I’m happy to be like Eddie.........

How many players went down injured when we went 2-1 up?

I counted:
Clarke – got up fairly quickly.
Freeman – got up when free-kick awarded.
McGoldrick twice – injured, then injured again, before being subbed.

There was no hysterionic rolling on the ground, nor did anyone do what a QPR player did first half and get injured off the pitch and then roll onto it to stop and delay the game.

It’s about time we started doing this. For years other teams have done it to us but we always seemed to be too “nice”. How many times last season did we concede late goals? Hopefully we’ve become a bit more streetwise this season and can actually see a game out.

Fucking won't be next week if the fucking yellows do us again as they did last year.

Enough clubs did it to us last season such as Norwich. Even Wilder has alluded to us needing to wiseup a bit more to gamesmanship in this division.

It is all down to the twat in the middle of pitch, being honest as a player gets you nothing.

I'd rather the refs do more to stamp this sort of crap completely. Sadly, the World Cup proved that won't be happening anytime soon.

Enough clubs did do it to us and we complained every single time. If you’re happy for us to do then great but we can’t then complained when others do it to us. Singing songs about others teams doing it just makes us look daft.

I don't like it. I'd rather we didn't do it at all but we spent all of last season being too honest which did little for us. So I can understand us doing it this season but it doesn't mean I am going to throw my Pukka Pie at Jack for gamesmanship.

We didn't do anything nearly as bad as Norwich last season. We held it up in the corners, McG was injured, Leon had a massive lump on his temple so I'm assuming he got whacked for real, and no-one was rolling around.

The shit I can't stand is when you keep the ball from open play, like keepers cleaning their boots or tripping up or something.

Somewhere between not doing it and Norwich and I think it's fair enough if it gets you points.

I thought it was funny away to Norwich last season after what they did at our place. Not been today though so cant comment on that.

But I will say I despise it when team waste time, I go to matches to watch football not adults acting like total prats.

Referees really need do need to sort it out as it is a problem in the overall game in England

Part and parcel of the game unfortunately. It has always been there but is worse now than ever and seems to be very prevalent in this league and the PL.

No point trying to rise above it unless you are genuinely so good that you can beat teams fair and square. May as well master the art yourself and use it when you need to.

It's a shame that any team has to resort to it though, I'll give you that.

Wilder's been involved in football at League level for 30 years. Where is there any excuse for needing to wise up?
What does he not know about the shitty tricks of the trade?
Basham's pathetic dive v Swansea city suggests there's not a lot to learn.

Or maybe it suggests that there is.

It's the kind of thing a team without any confidence does when it finds itself winning, but you have to be good at it.

Last time we tried it was Cardiff at home ( I think)

We lost the ball at the corner flag and they broke down the field and equalised

This and Basham winning 'let's all laugh at diving' on football a.m.

I'd say do it in injury time if at all. Basically taking no risks whatsoever and just attempting to keep the ball is fine if the game's about to end. But not from the 80th minute onwards, like some teams do.

I completely agree.... but fuck um!

I hate it when teams feign injury, roll about, saunter of the pitch when being subbed. All apart from us anyway.
