Great summary Graphman - you're becoming a journalist now as well as a mathematician!

I liked your subtle put-down of Cannon.

Coolblade summed his performance up best:-
"the contrast in attacking stats is stark. Moore was awesome with 9 aerial duels won (next best just 2), most shots (5), 2 key passes and a goal. Cannon with no shots on target, no key passes, won just one aerial duel, no accurate crosses, and attempted just 5 passes with very low 40% accuracy. Moore must start, presumably with Campbell. I keep hoping Cannon comes good, but it’s getting harder to justify his selection on the stats (context remains key!)."

Agree with all that but the irony is that against Bristol City it was Cannons best performance of the season for us.
Thought he was OK, at least he was more involved, instead of poor. It’s progress I suppose and I’m not writing him off yet.

Cannon’s career here has reminded me of Brewster.
He was so terrible the first half of the season that when Brewster started putting in average/ OK performances about 3 months ago people were impressed telling everyone he played great but it was because he had set such a low bar. Brewster being so average was something to get excited about.

In fairness to Brewster he’s gradually improving in that midfield role and was particularly good against Bristol City. I also like his attitude, desire and work rate.
I’ve changed my mind on him and would prefer him to stay……as long as the deal is right for SUFC….low basic pay with high performance related bonuses.

It's funny - quite a lot of people have said it was Cannon's best performance yet, simply because he managed one tackle and pinched the ball a couple of times - something O'Hare does about every 2 minutes he's on the pitch!

A chap who sits behind me made me laugh - he said "That Cannon's an even-worse version of Patrick Bamford, he just struts around the pitch with a stiff back like a constipated peacock!"
