Agree, were in big trouble but not now.

We’re now not playing massively different to last season, just need to show more quality in front of goal.

At least we know (based on last season) several of our players are highly capable.

Bodies in the box will sort that. 2 up front for starters!

Would also like to see us leave a striker on the half way line more often when defending corners/set pieces - not just when we are chasing the game. This should lower the numbers in our box when defending set pieces.

yeah agree wilder has to play 2 strikers from now on he has to go more positive peck and o'hare out 3412 hamer in behind campbell and ings davies matsos midfield 2 seriki/ogbene burrows/ mcallum wing backs

How long does the club give Wilder? Selles 5/5 losses, Wilder 3/4 losses.

Manager change and the same old shite I’m afraid. Plus, the owners changed the recruitment strategy to take a lot of the decision making away from the manager, I believe largely due to the money previously wasted by Wilder, so, assuming Wilder is still here in January, it will be very interesting to see who we sign, and by who.

improved a lot , making chances , more possesion , more shots , more touches in oppbox, just need to start finishing
were well worth a minimum of a point at Hull, under Selles we did nothing

only 111 points available to play for
hardly time running out
We were only worth a point at Oxford yet managed 3

tufty came to help out coz hes a blade but he cant play for them who dont turn up they look lost if them owners dont get more quality players in and send some back who are on loan who dont do nothing for the team at all were in trouble ,,its freefall if they dont react theyve sold the best midfielder in souza hes not been replaced ,, we need wins ,owners mess to sort out ,end off

This is what happens when you self inflict the damage on your own club,as the 2 Sheffield teams are doing at the moment, there's probably half the division thanking God for there being two such stupid owners and laughing at the circumstances of the life line thrown to them to keep them out of the relegation battle they probably expected to be in.
At least if you are going to take a chance like COH did, make sure you appoint a safe pair of hands if the promotion push doesn't happen,Selles wasn't even a good appointment for a safe pair of hands, let alone someone you charge with attempting to do better than Wilder did
With the dogpoo that this division is this season, somebody like Carrick might have got close with decent recruitment, but been a safe pair of hands if things didn't go as planned.

I think it’s a bit more nuanced than the amount of games he gets compared to Selles.

Performances have improved, results have not.

Can COH afford to make another change? I have deep doubts that they can, hence why the went back for CW anyway.

Who would come in, realistically? Or would we be moving the chairs on the titanic?

It’s slow it’s turgid it’s predictable as per last season but with results mainly going the other way
Take away a strong midfield plus a few players out of form and recruitment of the lowest order you get a relegation level side
I’d take 4th bottom now

This.
I don’t get the trend.
It merely boxes you in, unless you have players that can outpace anyone for the whole length of the pitch.

What help is CO’H going to provide in a defensive set piece capacity?
Get him out there to occupy at least one defender.

(Mind you, I could say that about the help bit related to all our CB and FB at the moment 😳)

Thing is, it's always two players that mark a striker left on the half way line and almost always 1 or 2 of the opposition players on the edge of our box with an eye on the counter attack - with all of our 11 players back in our box, there is no real effective counter attack for them to worry about.

Huge if true…

It’s been a regular topic of conversation amongst me & the mates for a few seasons now , since this became the norm . 100% leave a msn on the half way line as there’s no way the opposition will go 1 on 1 marking ? 👍

Basically, the next few games are critical. If we lose, and results go against us elsewhere, we could end up being nearly 10 points adrift. That is not a quick or easy amount to over turn.

We need at least 4 points from the next two games.
