Wembley ticket allocation and what end do you want?

Just panicking about ticket allocation, anyone know roughly how many semi finalists get ? Also any preference on end ? .... been unlucky with our end last two visits to the new Wembley a change maybe?
 



Does the fact that Hull were drawn as the home team have any bearing on end allocation?
 
Got to keep 20,000 for celebs, FA officials and other such hangers on who have never been to more than half a dozen football matches in their lives
 
The dodgy part is that the FA sell Club Wembley tickets to all and sundry making serious money that way.
 
You get more tickets for the semi than you do for the final usually about 10,000 more
 



I understand the whole loyalty point system and appreciate that it is probably the fairest way to ensure fans who go to the shitty away games each week get to go when things get good.

But i'm just going to have a whinge about the inevitability of me getting a seat on my own with my measly amount of points (had a season ticket for the first 3 or 4 seasons when they started the system and stopped in 2009) but anyone I go to matches with will have to wait and hope they go on general sale and they won't be sat anywhere near me I would assume.
 
What end have 'we' been in on the previous occasions?

I use commas round the 'we' as I feel a bit of an imposter as I'm a long time Blades results follower from afar but only ever made it to Bramall Lane once. (A 2-1 win over Portsmouth waaaaay back on 3rd October 1998).

I happen to be down in London on the weekend of the semis so I'm hoping there's a half decent public sale of tickets.

Back to the ends, I took in the Brentford v Yeovil play off final last season (that could've been my 2nd Blades game!) and was in the West end, which was in the with the Brentford support. I spent pre match up in The Green Man pub car park, which was ideal for the occasion.
 
Just out of interest how many tickets were sold for Huddersfield PO final? Will there be more of a demand for tickets or will people save there money in case of a final apperance

Going by what I learned in science at school in relation to the position of the sun in the sky and the kick off times of games I'll assume that to be the East end. ;)

Never been in that end unless it was the traditional away end. I was in there for the England v Scotland game at Euro '96.

We got 39,843 in the east end, they got 33,169. There were tickets on general sale on the day so we didn't sell all, can't recall the precise figures though. I would imagine FA Cup semi tickets would be more expensive than League One play off final, but could be wrong. Kick off time will also be a factor, with it likely to be late afternoon weekend travel won't be fun.
 
Yes we had the East end, I was very close to the pitch at the Burnley play off where the temp was over 100f on the pitch, an awful place on a sunny day where water is more precious than in the Sahara desert.
 
How do they decide it when there is no obvious geographical considerations in relation to where supporters are coming from? Toss of a coin? Team drawn first?

My dad was the Sports secretary for his works and he was able to get tickets for the 1949, 1955 and 1961 FA Cup finals (my Uncle Ron still has the ticket stubs). My dad had the view that it was fair to reward those who have voluntary worked hard in amateur sports associations but I disagreed as I thought Cup finals are for fans of both clubs in the final

Yep. Like cowboys caught by the Apaches, staked out and left to cook in the hot southern sun. With water around five quid a bottle unless you fancy drinking it from one of the long flat "fountains" in the bogs. No wonder John Wayne used to shoot the fuckers. Apaches, not Cockneys, although he did chuck Baldrick in the Thames once.
