That caught me out today, that was a very good enjoyable performance from United.
More of that and the fans will be happy that was so much more enjoyable to watch. Bristol were poor today and we looked comfortable winners and comfortable with the ball.
I was a little dissapointed when ginger came on, although at that time Bristol were getting at us a little down our left hand side.
Two very good goals as well today,Camara and Henderson were very good. Williamson and Monty complemented each other in the middle.
MOM is a hard one today Camara and Williamson for me,Wardy could have been in with a shout but he needs to learn when to release a ball sooner.
So it looks like a stay of execution for Mr Blackwell, hopefully the message has got through.
Even the fans were in good voice today what a differeence a good game of football makes.

Sensational news - an outbreak of passing football was reported at Bramall Lane today. Did someone kidnap Blacko and replace him with a proper manager wearing a Blacko mask?

Today was all I ask for. Not Arsenal; not Barcelona but a Blades team trying to play decent passing football and succeeding!

The team was well balanced with 2 lively clever wingers interchanging throughout and Williamson dominating midfield. Even Monty did reasonably well. What a pleasure to have 80 minutes without Elpiton - shame about the last ten!

Hendo showed today what an intelligent mobile centre- forward he can be when not used as a big lump of a hoofing target.

All in all a very uplifting display. Well done. No return to the hoof please Mr.B.

Good lad :D

I agree with everything there. We played some really good stuff and as I've said elsewhere, Monty showed that in a good midfield he doesn't look the "splay-footed twat" we see when he's teamed with Quinn and the like. Yes he hit a couple of bad passes but he did far more right that wrong today.

Captain too. BM will turn in his grave. :)
A very good display all round today, shows what we can achieve with the right team selection and approach.
Even playing passes through the midfield.Excellent game by Willow supported by Ward and Yeates providing the much needed width at last.
Will he keep the same team for Tuesday with a 4-4-2 formation, or revert back to 4-5-1 with long balls up to Hendo.
We should all enjoy todays result, shows what we can achieve, although being told constantly that excluding the clubs still with parachute payments, we have one of the highest wage bills then that sort of display should become the general standard.
Well done blades.

That was excellent, Williamson was MoM for me, a first class central midfield display, so mobile, closing down when we didn't have the ball, winning lots of tackles and supporting the forwards very effectively. Him & Monty should be the first choice central midfield pairing in my opinion, took me back to the days of Currie & Hockey!! I thought Camara & Hendo complemented each other well, Camara's pace scared the bobbar out of those giants they had in their defence and Hendo showed he is much more than just a big lump to aim high balls at. The way he had to adjust his stance to accomodate the cross for his goal showed what a player he can be.

The acid test is what comes next - will KB have the balls to continue with that formation & line up?

I heard the match on Radio Sheffield - it sounded great. I must say when I saw the line-up that it was probably exactly what most fans would have selected. My only worry was the defence, but they seem to have settled well together.

Regarding the "high wage bill" quote that we keep hearing, I can't see how anyone at the Club could possibly know the current wage levels of other teams. It's only when the annual accounts are published that they can get some idea - and that is usually at least a year after the event. The supposed high wage bill thus probably refers to the 2008/9 season, if not earlier.

Early days, but we've been waiting for Lee Williamson for years.
