I've a feeling certain elements amongst the Blades support have the same characteristics as a 60 year old Paris prostitute. Anything will be good enough for them.

5 wins on the bounce blah blah whoopeee doooo, against the might of Charlton, Watford, Orient etc, I know you can only keep beating what is put in front of you but come on if the grunters had done the same not even the most optimistic pig fan would think they were in top form (mind you they did put 4 past Charlton last week). As for McCabe we'll see how much ambition he has in the next week or so but it's not looking like much at the moment. Looking at the state of the club 8yrs ago yes we had no money and only 3 or 4 decent players and were playing shit football but don't try making out that McCabe changed all that he didn't, Derek Dooley was chairman when Warnock was appointed and he had to sell our best striker to raise the cash. At that time McCabe didn't put any money into the team so in reality nothing much has changed unless of course we are meaning a nice new hotel, fitness clubs, foreign clubs a business centre and two of the corners filling in at the lane. What really has changed on the field, we're still in the same division, we have got arguably better players but we are still playing shit football !!!! Some of you lot are so easily pleased, I wonder if we'll be clapping like seals when the mighty Donny and the pigs turn us over because make no mistake on our present form they will do.

Just how can a bunch of so called professionals be so bad ? How can a little piss ant club who can't muster 10,000 fans and not long out of the conference league totally outplay us ? Just what would someone like O'Driscol be able to achieve if he had our resources to play with ? Make you wonder don't it.
Something is very wrong at the lane, in fact it's rotten to the core we are a total embarrassment. Having just sat through that hoofball shit when we have two footballing midfielders sat warming the bench (one of them an ex England international) well it beggars belief I'm just furious and lost for words.

Anyone care to jump to the clubs defence because that pitiful showing to me was indefensible.

i have to say that i try and remain positive. every time ive been down to the lane this season (not every week due to work commitments) i have been thouroughly disappointed. however, i was walking down tonight with my old man and we were talking and we were feeling positive. ok, we are not playing attractive football but we r winning games i found myself saying. and if thats wot it takes to get out of this division then i suppose thats wot we gotta do. we had caught up some points on b'ham and looked in a decent position to pounce etc.....

then i saw that...

for me it was hard to see any positives tonight. it doesnt matter wot midfielders u put in there, it dusnt matter whether we have beattie or not. those players were told to go out there and thump it 50 yards to henderson. i dont care wot blackwell says about them not doing wot he said. they didnt attempt to pass the ball. and a team dusnt go out there and ignore the manager that much.
i think it says a lot about how were playing at the moment when the opposition manager comes on radio sheff after and says "i picked my biggest team because we know wot sheff utd are all about".
its not entertaining, its not promotion football and to be quite honest im pretty sick of going down there (paying £25+ a game) to see a load of rubbish. 4th place is flattering us. i want to stay positive, i really do. im just finding it really hard to.

well done donny, u deserved your win and completely played us off the park at times.

i think we just need to accept we are not good enough.

It is yes, but when the tactic is (other than Killa running with the ball) to kick the ball over the midfield that doesn't work.

Agreed. He was disappointing but when playing alongside Morgs I'm not surprised his game is getting worse. Still doesn't excuse the usual twat near me persistently calling him a 'dirty leeds scumbag' every time he tried something other than hoofball

the odd few times morgan did pass it, it was given straight back to him. We need Howard playing and possibly hendrie to get the ball passed around rather than hoofed up the field

I have said for quite a while now, killa is a great player and in terms of quality he is the best player in the squad (now beattie has left). Its difficult to criticize him in any matches, he is very consistant.

But going back to the orginal arguement, to be quite honest their wasn't many people who honestly thought we were playing good stuff and were 'clapping like seals'. I agree with your thoughts regarding the team and something needs doing quickly to turn the team around. I dont think you will get many people defending the team as you predicted, most people are just as frustrated by the blades as yourself.
