Well THAT just annoyed me

Just reading the updated match report on the BBC sport website and saw this:
"The win means Sheffield United move up to eighth with eight points, four clear of the relegation zone"
WE ARE 2 POINTS OFF A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PLACE FFS"!!!
Equal on points with Tottenham in 5th would have done, but 4 clear of relegation?
Or am I the only one looking up?!
Read this instead mate:

Why does that bother you ? FFS be realistic
We are aiming for 40 points and will be dancing in the streets if we get them
It annoyed me (a little less his morning than last night tbf) because it's stereotypically short-sighted and disrespectful.
Remember this from one of our neighbours courtesy of the excellent Roygbiv 's view from when we entered the Championship?

“one season of winning quite frankly, the poorest third division in some time and all of a sudden they are destined for great things. Absolute clowns of the highest order. It’s gunna be amazing when they are calling for tuftys head when they are flirting with relegation.”

Yes, it might all go pear-shaped, but we are currently equal on points with 5th and deserve it to be described that way rather than 4 points above the relegation places.
We are where we are in the league through great effort, team spirit, management nous and at times playing some cracking football.
As for being realistic. After what we've seen so far I AM being realistic.
Kinell, we're not even at our best yet.
Once that happens, will they be reporting that we're 15 points off relegation rather than 9th or 10th?!

Nevertheless ,the stated aim is plus 40 points anything above that is a bonus

I take your point but when I look at the table it's how many points we are above the bottom three I'm.converned about just as last season it was how many off seventh until we'd sealed a top six spot then it was how many off third

As fans we need to be wary as this season's Prem is different from previous; doing a comparison with last year, at this point there were 6 teams averaging 2 pts/game or more this year depending on the outcome of Man U Chelsea there's likely to be 3. Last year 3 teams were stuck on 2 pts looking for a first win this year it's just Watford without a win. More teams beating each other, higher points needed to secure safety but on the plus side, lower points needed to be challenging for Europe!

The aim is to be competitive in every single game home or away as Wilder says anytime a reporter asks him a question about league positions.
What will be will be ,apart from the top two it looks the most even league in years ,a good run your up there bad run a few injuries and your never far from trouble .
This team won't get relegated IMO ,disappointing loss last week but they always bounce back.

Greasy I saw this and like you I was mad, we sit with 8 points alongside Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd, and Spurs yet we're the only ones 4 points off relegation, Chelsea have conceded almost double what we have.

Hope you’re not saying Premier League is poor this year.😂😂😂😂😂

I’m sorry mate my first thought is to look at those below us. Maybe I should expect more but I’ve been a Blade too long. It may take us being in the PL for a few years in a row before my eyes start to rise.

I was exactly the same.

This season as long as there is 16 teams or less in front of us this season then yeah its successful, enjoy the ride and don't sweat the small stuff. 😊

Used to go clubbing in Morley at The Orbit back in the early 90s. Top night out.
I don't know the orbit. Was it a reincarnation of After Dark?

I've been here since 2004 and was previously here from 1988 to 1993

Same place. After Dark was the name of the club. Orbit was the event (it did run elsewhere in Leeds, but eventually settled in Morley).
