I don't actually think there's any need for penalties at all in play off games, if it's level after extra time the winner should be the team which finished higher in the league - they already do that in other countries. It makes ET a bit more interesting too.

As it is, and not knowing how financially fucked we may be following our 2 year PL sojourn, I'll repeat what I said before so this is not sounding like sour grapes, but for this side to have gone up would have made next season a sporting disaster of epic proportions and I don't want to experience an even shitter sequel to 2020-21, thanks very much.

Everything will now depend on how we cope without Gibbs-White but if we can rebuild we may end up being able to have a better go at it than we would with absolutely no PL quality players and without the resources to bring any decent ones in.

At least we should be able to get through the summer with some optimism now.

You do realise we’re likely to spend in the prem…so highly unlikely it would be the same team, and in contrast we’re now probs going to decimate this team so by ur logic if we go up next year with a worst team we’ll take more of a battering, I really don’t get the we’ll be shit if we go up brigade, even if we do come down we’re hundreds of millions better off.

100% proud and we beat them over 90 minutes, which only Liverpool have done at their place.

We also handed Huddersfield the blue print of how to beat them, because by the 2nd half it was all us, keep Spence quiet, attack, score.

They were pretty average until the penalties and that is against a team with no first team strikers, all four out injured.

I will be amazed if they win at Wembley if they play like that. But either way, good luck to both teams (and Forest will need it).

Spend on what? Who do you think we could have afforded? We'd have been outbid for every decent target. The team we started next season with would have been almost the same as this, but without our only PL quality player who would be at Wolves, or a club who will pay him (and Wolves) more than we ever could.

And we're not "hundreds of millions better off" when we get relegated, it's a financial nightmare for every club including ours, as has been reported many times.
