Great in the 2nd half. Ran them close, but their £100m team managed to beat a Third Division side by 1 goal over 2 legs.

How Kyle managed to avoid a red card for pushing Basham in the face when he went for the ball and caught their keeper is beyond me.

Yes it was vertonghan, but kyle was a bit dirty over two legs, just my opinion, but he's gone backwards, and looks a little fat.

From my position on the Kop (admittedly a crap view), I thought the ref was excellent. And I never though I'd say that about the jumped-up little twerp. :)

And sadly Bash looked like a twonk for throwing himself to the floor when Vertonghan didn't even touch his face.

You're right, but we need to do as the others will do to us...
Gerard.... intent.... "etc"... I know its been done to death, but we have to get every advantage we can at the top level..

If you breathe on ronaldo in the box, he goes down, gets a pen, and wins trophies...

I hate it too.... but its part of the game for the winners, not a co incidence after all these years, it works.. we all know it..

Much better was when Bob ran full pelt into someone late on and threw himself over holding his face. He didn't get anything of course, but it worked for Dembele in the first half!

I hate this side of the game, along with all the delaying free kicks and cynical fouls, but after what we've seen from the likes of MK, Preston, Soton and most of League One (not Walsall) unfortunately we need to join in to get what we deserve.

Good old centre forward type challenge on the keeper, and in my opinion Bash had every right to go for it. Opposition players always react like that nowadays when they see a challenge on their keeper. Goalkeepers have far too much protection nowadays.
