Looking forward to the new season and we appear to have a strong 16 for this division. Pre season has gone well and apart from Lowton no one of importance has been sold. Hopefully the emergence of McFaz on the left will compensate for the loss of Lowton, just wish he played right mid instead.
Having seen the 2 play off games I would say that Quinn's best position is just off the main striker but that leaves us with the problem of where to play Cofie as Porter or Cressie are better and more experienced to play up top on their own.
Would rather we hadn't bought the guy from Crewe and showed a bit more faith in Ironsides as a back up striker.

Speaking to a few of my 'Blade' mates, it seems we all tend to share your optimism CB. I was rather 'impressed' by the friendly at Morecambe, especially by the 'Three Macs': MacFadzean, MacD & McMahon. All I say is it could be better, but it could be much worse, so I think this Sat with Burton will be a bit of a litmus test for the first 11 and Danny boy.

Looking forward to it to be honest, and not just the footie but back down Sheff and swallowing a few brews with fellow Blades There really is no substitute (pardon the pun)...

As long as we don't sell Maguire and Quinn (or any surprise sale of an expected 'starter' such as Doyle/Collins) at the end of the transfer window and leave ourselves reliant on crap loanee replacements, I am optimistic. Fingers x'd!

Wonder if the weeds are as 'postive' as 'we' are now It'll be interesting to get feedback from a number of my pals who are weeds mad - never mind Bates, they're not too big on Warnock, that's for sure. What goes around...
