A great way to answer the controversy, sounded like a wonderful goal. Nothing has been proved against him, welcome back and carry on scoring overhead kicks.

As one who openly slates him, it's only fair |I say "well done" too.

I don't think he's up to it. I'll be delighted to be made a fool (again...:D) in public.

It was a cracking opportunist finish. From inside the ground, I wouldn't class it as the "overhead kick" that Radio Sheffield seem to have billed it as.

The crowd went mental and so did the players!

Well done Chedwyn.

Agree with Alco. I think we're better off without him on a few different levels (once we get at least one new striker in, obviously, as we'd be stupidly short of strikers as it stands) but will always support whoever is out there playing. Well done Chedwyn.

came on to a great reception and changed the game. The way the players went to him shows the togetherness. Well done ched it must have been difficult coming on today

I've never crtisised Ched ever, (check my posts) as I always knew he had the ability. Maybe he's playing for a move in Jan, maybe he's found his level, (like so many others!), maybe he's playing to save his career, maybe he's just playing but at this level he will score a fuckin hatfull and if we can hold onto him in Jan he will finish as the leagues top scorer and we will be going up as champions.....YHIHF

Did he do much else after he came on? Any other chances? Did he look lively or not quite match fit? What was Tonne like?

he run the line very well lots of movement. Tonne was a bit disappointing (sorry foxy)

Even if he is found guilty and given prison time I presume he will be able to appeal - and will be bailed while the appeal is heard. So if he merits a place in the team he will probably be available all season.

i felt kind of justifed as i have backed ched all the way ever since he came ched here, & will continue to do so as when he left he was on subs bench for man city & if it weren't for the arabs would probally be in xi now, he 21 and is play under only 2 manager who play passing football as speed was other one for 6 weeks. he will get better with age & expierence also in L1 he will bang in goal id say 15-20 & could be great player with added confidence too

Are you Phillipino...?

I think Quinny must have been watching the rugby yesterday morning based on his reaction to Ched's goal.

If convicted, he'll be imprisoned for a substantial time. There is no automatic right of appeal. You apply in writing to a Single Judge of the Court of Appeal who can refuse leave or allow the appeal to proceed to a full Court (3 Judges). The test is whether the verdict is 'unsafe'. It is a very high threshold. The Trial Judge would have badly misdirected the jury or made a serious error of procedure or admission of evidence. "The jury got it wrong" is not a ground of appeal.

One can ask for bail pending appeal but it's rarely given and would not happen in a case like Ched's.

I guess we have to use all the assets of the squad while ever they are there for us and I do feel that out on the pitch is possibly the best place for Ched's head to be.

It was a nicely taken goal. Both his and Tonne's the other week show us as having signs of players that want to try anything to score. I remember Speed saying that Ched showed signs of not really being coached and probably needing it.

So in the spirit of this thread, my "Well Done Ched" is for showing us that so far that he has risen to our challenge and taken on board what the backroom staff and DW are asking of him. While ever he is with us long may that continue. A confident and firing on all cylinders Ched can only be of benefit and with the fixtures we having coming he will be needed. He has little chance of becoming a Lane great now and maybe there was too much pressure on him to be the figure-head in a non-scoring team. Now may well be the time for him to come into the side and just try to enjoy his football.

Quality player that Chedwyn. But not up to Prem standards.

Always backed him when others where giving him loads of stick (Sharp / Quinn ??) which is what it would appear most Blades fans are best at. That is to say many do not recognise true talent. Like Quinn and Sharp, Ched has not been effectively employed in the past as previous managers have not played to his strengths. Hopefully Danny, for as long as he has Ched at his disposal, can get the best from him. Which IMHO is a 1 in 2 goal ratio.

No doubt he has been a "bad" buy. That isn't the point.

Well done Ched :)

Just watched the goal on the Football League Show. I have been quite a vocal critic of him on here, but credit where it's due it was a class goal. Well done Ched.

I've been ridiculed on here by many when I've said ched will come good.

Sounds like he did alright when he came on, still early for him this season but lets hope he lights up the division with goals, at least until his trial.

Well done to him for his goal, but he is one of the main reasons we are where we are. Overpaid, underperforming, goalless striker in the championship.

So are all of them, I dont see your point.
