Well Charlton have sold out

And SUFC have sold 15,000. So 20,000 so far. Expect a lot more. Will be biggest gate of the season. Might breach the 30,000 mark.

Unfortunately with games coming thick and fast it's becoming very costly - I picked up tickets last week for MK Dons, Peterborough and Charlton shelling out well over £100-00 for one weeks football for me and my lad

Considering that there are no trains and only a poxy coach service that costs 22 sheets, I think it is an excellent effort from Charlton fans. Their average attendance this season is 16k, so I would guess they have around 10-11k season ticket holders. With the tickets selling out 'a few hours after they went on general sale' then it seems that around half of the season ticket holders are making the effort. I think it is pretty good considering it is a Sunday noon kick off, on tv and travel options are crap. Many may drive and I guess that considering they are usually crap in the cup and think they have a very good chance of winning (added incentive), but it's a good effort from them.

We will earn as much as if the massive had come.

Not sure that would be the case, I'd reckon that we'd be charging A rates (£22-£28?) as it would be a guaranteed sell out even at those prices. But still, I prefer to see red and white in the away end paying £15 to £20 as opposed to those cunts paying a tenner more.

True I suppose ,I would gladly paid the extra tenner to see Charlton ,or rather not Wendy.

I understand the transport problems/start time and such BUT a chance to reach the FA Cup Semi's for the first time in ages (I can't ever remember seeing them in one going back to early sixties) against 3rd Division opposition, I would have been astonished if they hadn't sold out.

In my 50+ years of watching us I reckon this is only the 6th QF I've seen us in and all the previous 5 have been against top flight teams, so I'll be, likewise, bemused if we don't sell nearly all our tickets as well when we've got such a good chance of another SF.

Roll on Sunday.

That's disgraceful! Surely we can pay for a couple of extra people to answer phones during these busy times?
Or perhaps the club can refresh our memory as to when that stupid phone contract runs out so people aren't paying when hanging on for so long.

I think a lot will be snapped up before tomorrows game in person rather than fans phoning for tickets.

Having been into the ticket office last week to buy tickets for the MK Dons, Peterborough and Charlton games I finished up having to do three transactions as they couldn't cope doing all in one.
As the team has improved on the field ticket, sales have now moved back to the Ticket Office from the Promotions Office and the staff appear to be school kids on job experience !
Realistically, United have never been slick on the commercial field more akin to Torquay United rather than Manchester United !
A good Commercial Manager would have a field day down at the Lane - Customer Service is not very high on the agenda it seems !!

Had to book Fulham and Forest on my mobile - cost nearly as much as I paid for the tickets :(

Do it on the net, you Luddites. That hold music is horrendous.

And fair play to the Charlton fans. That 12 noon kick-off time is a huge "fuck you" to them from the powers that be, (magic of the cup seems to be forgotten when dollar signs flash up) and they've done themselves proud selling out as quickly as they have done. I love seeing the away end full. Sick of seeing an empty end of the ground with 100 bloody Colchester fans. Sunday will be ataste of what we could get every week, in the right division.

What and pay a pound extra booking fee..??? This is Yorkshire fer christ sake, not Richmond Upon Thames.

Bet it costs you more than a quid to listen to the start of a James Morrison song for 30 minutes.

Went down to get my Crawley and Swindon tickets earlier and people were queueing out the door for cup tickets, someone in the ticket office said they'd been queueing down to the superstore earlier too.

With it being the beginning of the month I imagine a few people who only got paid Friday will have been down there today, and probably for the rest of the week.

Hi Charlton fan here agree with all comments coming up sunday by COACH would have preferred train, the 2 later ties are near to each other that's the power of tv,disappointed but looking forward to game COYR

Hi Rob. Just out of interest....the 'urban dictionary' tells me that 'COYR' means "Come On You Reds". Now, is that the normal term of encouragement for Charlton fans, as I always thought you were the Addicks? Or am I behind the times on nicknames, as well as internet abbreviations...? :-)

(For the record, I thought 'Addicks' was more original....)

we use both, we do play in red, the way we have been playing in the league haven't been saying it to often, will be on sunday hopefully when we are winning

Indeed. Booked three tickets online at lunchtime. Zero fuss, and got a good view of which seats were available (sod all in the SS FYI). All sorted in 5 mins max.
