When the second goal went in I (and every one around me) went completely f**kin' mental. Dare to dream and all that...
What i didn't notice till about 3 minutes later was that my wedding ring had flown off my cold shrunken finger.
I stayed behind with my mate till the Kop had cleared and spent about 15 minutes with my mate walking up and down the rows around us searching. Eventually it appeared stuck to some discarded crap about 5 rows in front... (quite a flight really).
So, if you were one of those around me staring at the floor trying to find it instead of watching the Blades till the end .. help very much appreciated....thanks.
My mate missed his train back to Manchester as a result too, so the pint I bought him in the Railway afterwards is little consolation - he'll be rewarded with another one or ten soon.
Prospect of a kicking and an endless sulking from wife averted....
