Me and Mr Thorpe are having a massive debate over who is better for the team
I am arguing the case of Webber he played much less games than Sharp and scored the same ammount in the league?, i think his pace, and taking on players is much more of an asset than Billy, fair enough he works his socks off but i think Webber is more gifted overall

Thorpe is for Sharp, he just says Webber is turning into Kabba and getting lazy, and Sharp is second best striker we have, after BT, you choose kiddies :)

i sorry butch but sharp is better than webber by far, im not saying that webber is a shit player, fsr from it, he just didn't do it for me las season, he would run for the ball if sumone passed it to him but then he would stop like halfway because it was nearer the defender or keeper, sharp was willing to fight and run for the ball, yes i know it took him a while to get his first league goal this season but he kept trying and trying and he was trying hard for the team, if we had this arguement 3 seasons ago when we first signed webber i would have agreed with you, i just don't think he is commited to the team anymore

Webber for me all the way, not been a huge fan of Sharp anyway, and since it took him almost 3 quarters of a season to net his first, given the amount of chances he had, didn't help the bloke, he's OK don't get me wrong, but gotta say i agree with you all the way Butch.

If you read his latest interview i think he proves hes commited to the team, i dont think hes ever got lazy or not bothered for the team, he didnt get as many chances this season due to injuries, but if you gave him and sharp the same amount of games this season, webber will score more

They're two different types of player though... you can't really compare "who is better for the team" because that might differ on who we're playing on the day.

Sharp has no pace and is a poacher in the box. Webber has bags of pace when he can be bothered to use it and can create goals for himself.

The only thing you can say about both of them is that they've shown on occasion that they have an atrocious first touch for professional footballers :D

who did you vote for? ;)

Id vote for sharp. Webber is the better footballer but BT has had time to play alongside sharp so will have got used to each other.

I dont care who partners BT as long as we score goals.

Sorry, Webber all the way for me.

When he first joined he never fought for the ball, but in the games he played in the last season he chased everything down and had some great work ethic.

He has more about him than Sharp, and a better finisher in my opinion.

Webber for me. I think this season is a key one for Sharp. if he struggles in front of goal again i dont think Blacky will be as forgiving.

Although I think Sharp is the better finisher, I'm going for Webber. His all-round game is better.

Danny gets the nod for me simply because his pace makes him a much more difficult opponent to play against.

I have debated this very subject at length and my conclusion is that we don't create enough chances to afford the luxury of a 'box player'. Danny can drop deep and his pace means he can go past people as well as chase flick on's etc.

I just feel Danny brings more to the table then Billy; although having both at our disposal will be of great benefit throughout the course of the season i have no doubt.

who did you vote for? ;)

Neither... I don't think you can compare the two.

A striker who doesn't score or create doesn't help the team.

And neither does one who can't force himself into the first team.

Webber - 16
Sharp - 5

Would like to see Webber starting wide left with Cotteril on the other side and Sharp and Beattie up top

...Would love to see it next season but i doubt it :(

Webber worked OK on the left of a front 3 at times last season but i have seen nothing to suggest he can play out wide. I am looking forwards to seeing of more of Danny next season but i will be disappointed if he plays anywhere other then up top and i dare say he would feel the same way.

No more square pegs in round holes; we apparantly have the cash so get the quality where it's needed because there can be no excuses about lack of personnel.

Seems we are struggling to find a CM - Howard at 10million, Cattermole at ??? Seems 2-3million would be enough to buy Tonge, getting better is big bucks and yet we still need Cotterill.

Maybe the lack of activity shows KB is perhaps confident about Hendrie?

apparently Hendrie has played well in the pre season games :)
Yeah, so I hear. Good good. Let's hope he's ready to knuckle down for a full campaign, we know he has the gift, time to step up to the plate.

Come on Hendrie, the fans will soon get back behind you!!
