Just bought 5 tickets online for Reading and disgusted to find that SUFC now charge a web sales fee of £1 PER TICKET as opposed to the £1 per booking they used to charge.

Any web sales fee is utterly outdated and uncalled for in this day and age anyway. I could just about stomach the £1 I used to be charged on a single transaction but to be fleeced to the tune of £5 to cover the astronomical costs of somebody in the ticket office placing 5 tickets in an envelope is a disgrace.

We're supposed to be trying to pack out the stadium for a promotion push, how the fuck is this supposed to attract fans? Royally pissed off at SUFC for this, it's the type of daylight robbery shithousery I thought was the preserve of our neighbours.

I take it you haven't used Ticketmaster before?

Yeah noticed the warning message at the top of the page when I got my WBA.

Bit of a con for me, this. I understand a transaction fee, but a fee per tickets is a bit far.

Agree it's a disappointing development.

I'm fortunate enough to be able to pop into the ticket office easy enough but for those who can't it's a bit much on top of already OTT prices across the board.

Bought some tickets to see Ryan Adams ( No B !!! ) at the Top Rank as was, booking fees, venue fee (WTF) and other fees came to additional £ 6 per ticket - disgusting.

They should've just increased the initial booking fee to cover increases in cost. This is a piss take.

Yes there have been a few back door price increases this season pissing off a few including the membership tax where the freebie match is near impossible to get with so few B matches. The online ticket system is pants anyway for anything other than the basics, I've given up trying to buy concessions tickets through it, just not possible and no IT support.

I guess from the accounts the club has a problem as wages and pensions are twice gate revenue so the dosh has to come from somewhere and our owners are in dispute.

We may have been applauded for our reasonable ticket prices in the past but they've been sneakily increasing prices to the point where we're amongst the most expensive in the division again. Extra booking fees, reducing Cat B/Cat C to an almost non-existent level and introducing the non-member £3 extra has made sure of that. Football clubs are all too desperate to cash in on loyal fans and don't.be fooled into thinking ours is any different.

United could get far more fans in the ground if they were bothered. We should be pushing 30,000 every game at this time.

There’s no excuse for there to be a booking fee unless it’s an external company or platform dealing with the tickets. All ticket costs should cost face value. It’s just a money grab!

Never got that. You do the work instead of them and you pay for the privilege. Same with your taxes. You do them now and if you're slightly late you're fined.
