i thought until this evening the game would be on but there is now a hell of a lot of snow to shift from the pavements around the ground and it is going to drop to minus 7 over night Friday into Saturday.. I think the game being called off by SAG early Saturday morning is now favourite.

Just got up for a wee wee (piss is a bit vulgar isn't it) anyway we've got no power and about 10" of snow on the deck outside and it's still going strong..

Another great snow day awaits, what we are going to eat baffles me though if the power stays off..

It's been coming down in S12 like a twat all day, but we get it really bad here every single year and I have seen a few worse than this.

That being said, I reluctantly took the car out to the shops earlier and it was very treacherous on the roads. I was hitting the dizzy heights of 25 miles per hour on Bochum Parkway, which is normally fine in these circumstances, but was overtaking other cars. I was bloody glad to get back and get the car on the drive.

It was supposed to warm up quite a bit tomorrow from late morning, particularly in more central areas of the city. Will 6 or 7 hours of above freezing temperatures be enough to thaw some of this away though? Boro's game will be fucking on of course.

Yeah we had a power line down in high winds a few weeks ago, this'll be the same thing..

It's every time we get adverse weather, they wanna charge a fortune for power but don't want to maintain or replace the old wooden poles which are weak.

One of these will be rotten and just gave up, shorting it all out, and nobody's going into work early tommorrow to sort it out are they..

Just glad I have a gas fire, I'll make some toast on it with the old extending toasting fork

Most snow I've seen for a long time in such a short period. I'm 15 mins from the Lane and as others have said even with a thaw/sun this afternoon,there is so much snow,this is not going to shift in 24 hrs. There is now way I can see the council allowing the game to happen sadly. I don't even think they will wait till Saturday morning. Reckon it will be called later today.
