a lot of people criticising Huddersfield and warnock had a pop at Ferguson But personally I can't see a problem with it, Huddersfield are concentrating on the playoffs as us their right.

People complain when teams get fined in the checker trade cup, can't have it both ways

I thinks it's every teams right to play who they want

I am pretty sure Huddersfield couldn't care less about the criticism, if resting and avoiding injury to important players now leads them to the Premiership they will be as happy as larry.

checker trade cup,
I wouldn't bring that embrassment of a trophy into this discussion.
When it comes to weakened teams in the league I can see it leaving a sour taste with teams, Huddersfield still have something to play for as well! I know they are already got a playoff spot but surely they want home advantage in the tie?
Weren't we are the other end when liverepool played a weakened team against fulham in our relegation season?
Teams should always go for the win, if Wagner thought that side could win then fair enough.

Really? Both deprive the opposition and fuck up other teams,so how are they different?
You seriously can't see the difference between playing members of your registered squad and fans forcibly getting a game abandoned?

Regardless of the validity of the competition it still gives you an advantage in the league resting players

Next week if i were Reading , i would let Burton win , to avoid playing Fulham in the Semis , to try and fuck the pigs up , but it is wrong .

If you field a weakened team you are cheating other teams.
If you invade the pitch and get the game abandoned you are cheating other teams.

If we missed out on promotion,or as happened when Liverpool played a weak team suffered in our relegation season would you care that they played registered players?
No you wouldn't.
The outcome is the same.
I dont see any difference whatsoever.
Its depriving another team.

Grunters did it under Smegson!!

If you win enough of your own games you needn't worry about other teams wether you are trying to get promoted or stay up. The integrity of the game died long ago. If Huddersfield feel resting players gives them the best chance in play offs then fair play. They've won enough games to look after themselves not up to them to "help" other teams.

Im with wagner, he wants to give his players a rest before a physically & mentally grulling 3 games in the playoffs. Also he wants to rotate & see his if someone else is on form. But blackburn & forest need to look at themselves. Because there has been 44 games before that they were crap espically blackburn they didnt properally win til 24th sept as rotherham doesnt count. Everyone beats rotherham

Youve got to love the double standards because you know roles reversed blackburn/forest would be resting players

It's an interesting subject, because it's hard to reconcile it effectively. Yes, of course teams should play their best XI in every game, and play with strategy and tactics designed to win that game. That's how it should be in a perfect world. I don't think anyone can disagree with that here.

But also, as with the example of Huddersfield playing a weaker side, you absolutely cannot fault them. They have a real chance of gaining promotion to the Premier League, and resting certain key players for these last few league games will be vital for them to gain the edge in their play-off games. And why not? They need to think about themselves. Why should they care about other clubs? The idea of a football team being purposefully disadvantaged by their own management for the sake of another club is ridiculous.

Also - Define "weaker". Where do you draw the line? If we're going to have a rule about this, we'd have to have a similar thing to what we got in the Checkatrade this season, with a specific limit of squad changes between games. Which is obviously chaotic, as demonstrated in practice. There is no answer to this, IMO. It's a loophole.

All four teams will play the reserves next week as all the play off slots are sorted just shows how shit the Championship is despite what the pigs would have you believe. Not good for teams fighting to stay in the league though I bet the Blackburn and Forest fans are mortified after Brum were handed 3pts for that reason I hope Reading or Fulham win the play off's.
The reality is it is a situation brought on by the play off's, the top three should be promoted it's ridiculous that a team finishing sixth can be promoted
