Hope we can get the lad back.

If not I wish him well and he goes with my thanks.

:)

Wish we could get rid of kilgallon :p

Neh he has been quality for us, gutted ff we don't get him back in anyway in the near future!

The crowd gave him what he deserved at the end

The guy is quality, we must do everything we can and more to bring him back. All the best to him whatever happens

Definatly we need to get him back.

Otherwise we could even seen likes of Bromby back in defence.

I think he will stay, apparnetly he was heard on radio to say he wants to stay

Bleeding hope so

From what he said on radio it looked more promising than in past. But he never once said he wanted to come back, or that if he became available he would come back here.

The most he said was the it was in MON' hands.

i supoose the only positive we can take from this is that we will not have to put up with the prat anouncer at stoke who address's him by 'Carhill'

But he was a quality player, he can go far i reckon, shame it aint with us :(

A little bit of hope

SHEFFIELD United face a nervous wait to discover if they can re-sign Aston Villa's Gary Cahill next month.
Cahill, who marked the final game of a successful 12-week loan with an immaculate performance against Barnsley at the weekend, is one of Bryan Robson's top priorities in the transfer market.

Having spent the past fortnight attempting to establish a line of communication with Villa Park, the United manager revealed following the 1-0 victory over Simon Davey's side that he has finally made contact with his opposite number, Martin O'Neill.

But Robson confirmed that the Irishman is refusing to decide whether Cahill can return, possibly even on a permanent transfer, until after Christmas.

"The lad (Cahill) could not have finished any better," Robson told The Star.

Sunderland in for him too according to todays rags.

Wonder how many others are sniffing?

:(

They're trying to snatch Bardsley too.

I think we'll have first choice on him though, he loved it here and wants to come back, it all depends on whether Laursen and Mellberg sign contract extensions.

Ill be listening to the radio tonight. Radio Sheff got an interview with him which they were going to play last night. They didnt play it though due to the Comical genious that was Mr walker from the pigs

Only seen a few games but he did look very good. From reading/hearing all the reports it does indeed seem that he was a great signing. Well done to Robbo for bringing him here, he could have easily been at another prem' team or sat on the Villa bench doing nothing whilst we were struggling.

Killgallon has been quoted as saying he would like Cahill in his christmas stocking.

Me thinks those two have got too close to each other. :)

Heard today that he's still training with us, cos he doesn't want to go back to Villa and not know any tactical changes we might make over Christmas if he's just gonna sign for us in Jan.

Haven't heard this Oli, but it would be very promising if he was training with us still.

I would love for Cahill to be signed, and I don't think he currently has any chance of breaking in to the first team, what with having Melberg, Laursen, Knight and Davies to contend with. But I think there will be other teams, namely Sunderland who will be looking to snap him up. I'm kinda clinging on to the hope he has an afinity with the Blades and wants to come back. But until he does, then lets not get our hopes up.

From the star

SUNDERLAND hope to exact revenge on Sheffield United for beating them in the race to sign Phil Bardsley by luring Gary Cahill to the Stadium of Light.
The Premiership club appear to have failed in their bid to persuade Bardsley to turn his back on a long-term move to Bryan Robson's side but are understood to be among the suitors courting Cahill's services following his successful loan spell at Bramall Lane.

Fingers crossed........

Aston Villa defender Olof Mellberg says he will play out the remainder of his contract with the club despite interest from Juventus. (Independent)
