Absolutely delighted obviously, but not at our best today, West Ham were closing us down. Egan had his poorest game of the season, Egan and Baldock quiet, especially in the first half, Lundstram was giving the ball away and Mousset wasn't well I think, saw him throwing up in the area. A fantastic result, but hopefully the flowing football will be back next week. Two defeats hit our confidence.

First half - both teams chased, harried, moved the ball quickly, achieved next to nothing. I was actually impressed with their commitment. Didn't expect that.

Second half - we upped the anti- still 100mph but had more drive and determination. Edged it overall. It was much better than the Liverpool performance. This was a really hard game and I think we did very well to win it. Huge result. Egan and Lunny were our worst players.

We gave the ball away far too cheaply all through the game but I thought we were much better in the second half. McBurnie did really well, Moose somehow makes every hopeful ball into a dangerous one. On the other hand if the equaliser had stood I wouldn't have thought it was an unfair result.

Thought we were very poor 1st half...easily one of the worse performances of the season. Think West Ham we’re slightly better than us.

Second half we raised our standard but were still under par....although we were definitely better than West Ham and we just about deserved the win.

We weren’t convincing and looked tired tonight. Couldn’t have complained if it had ended a draw.

Didzy is such an influential player, when he plays well we generally run the show. Tonight he looked low on confidence and composure. This was mirrored by all and we reverted to hooooof.
Much credit to CWAK for making the correct substitutions at the right time. Changed the game.
Thankfully our two expensive summer purchases earned some of their transfer kitty tonight.
Need to make Mo a permanent January signing, real impact performance.
& sign Hendo permanently, another clean sheet.

It was terrible quality but was the sort of grinding result we were getting this time last year in the championship, digging one out when a team of cloggers have dragged us to their level and stifled the game.

Hopefully will breed some confidence where if we win playing like that, then we should have no problem when we do turn up.

Agree with what has been written on this post. It was all about the result today and we got it. The players showed what we already know. They have got bollocks and they work them off for our club.

I can't disagree with that. We were so far off it in the first half, i don't think Basham was at his best all game. Lots of mistakes in possession and i think Norwood and Fleck were trying to make us tick all game. Completely agree on Egan, he looked nervy.

However, after two defeats against the best two sides in the division, the result was always going to be more important than the performance. We nearly chucked it away at the end and but for a forensic check, we'd have dropped two points. We deserved the win, but we weren't at our best, so a draw would've been a blow.

We can go to Arsenal with confidence that we're good enough to get something, once again against an unpredictable side who've just changed their manager for an inexperienced one. Lets go for it

We were poor today but I also think Moyes came up with a system that stifled us and restricted the space available (probably the first time in 3 seasons this has happened). As a result we gave the ball away in tight areas or lumped it from the back when there were no midfield options on.
They played a 4-2-4 without the ball and the extra men against our back line stopped us playing it out.
I think we needed more composure and to retain the ball if nothing is on as a better team than West Ham would punish us for the amount of times we gave the ball away.
That said it’s refreshing to see us play poorly and take the points, hopefully it’s a blip and the trip to the Emirates will inspire them.

Very average first half . We just lacked any vigour. Second half lot better movement and at times the passing was great. Created plenty of chances and some lovely build up play. . But errors all over the park . Had kittens when Egan fell down near the end
