Could've easily signed Mawson last summer but bizarrely didn't, despite being interested.

Whoever's responsible for letting someone like him go to Barnsley while we end up with Edgar is a fucking idiot. I suspect it was a combination of Adkins wanting 'safe' options and "we've got young players in our academy".

We were in for him and made contact, he opted to chose Barnsley over us. I heard it was down the the persuasion of Lee Johnson.

I would have thought Burn would be out of the picture, scouted by (I assume) Turnbull and approved (I assume) by Adkins.

Don't think it's the end of the world missing out though, I would prefer Egan or Curtis Nelson personally
