I know it's tough and we all have different opinions but we really need to be sticking together in the midst of this complete shambles of a team we're paying to watch. Tensions have been very high on here and in the stands lately but we have to keep going through hope over expectation.

We all have different opinions on why we're in this mess be in the players, board, manager, or a mash of all 3. But one things for certain it certainly ain't the fans. The fan blaming has to stop, 20,000 yesterday and undoubtedly there'll be at least 16,000 there next season. There always is.

Come on guys, we're all Blades. We are the only thing worth shouting about from this torrid 5, erring on 6 years. If we give up the club we love and our past generations have loved for 125 years is done, livelihoods ruined and memories diminished.

If you want to protest feel free - don't slate them. If you want to vote with your feet feel free - don't slate them. If you want to keep going and blindly support them - feel free. We all want the same thing, we'll all have differing opinions on how to go about it but we do all want the same thing.

Let's stick together for us, for the past generations and the future, and for the club we love. It's all some of us have.

We need a stick together slogan like Blades United

Ok, I nicked the idea from Esablade

It has become more about a day out nowadays than watching the football.

I know thats a terrible thing to say, but it is true. I enjoyed the atmosphere in the renovated 'Railway' before hand watching Mahrez stuff Man City on the TV, was happy to meet up with old mates and my brother, sink some decent reasonably priced ale and even enjoyed a chip Butty (surprisingly rare in the South). However, apart from Baxter's chip saw absolutely nothing to inspire me to pay £20 to go in, let alone the train fare to get up from Kent.

Of course I will still turn up, will still support MY team and will see out the storm that is currently inside the higher management at Bramall Lane, but do I get the goosebumps and old excitement about watching the team, sadly no.

I will never give up on United, but I do feel patronised, taken for granted and given up on by the Board...

I have exactly the same thoughts :(

Largely agree with the gist of your OP but our home crowd is hard to play in front of. Morgan was quoted recently in the Star saying exactly that.

17000 great fans in a 20000 crowd never compensates for 3000 moaners.

Is there a YouTube video about how people constantly feel the need to post YouTube videos? I'd really not like to see that.

Is there a YouTube video that show people how not to press play on a YouTube link if they don't want to to view it?

No but I bet there's an amusing meme of a crying baby or a cat with suitable instructions.

Stick together like Mr Turnbuuls dentures?

Ditto. I'm like an old biddy who's been going to t'bingo for donkeys. I don't particularly like it - in fact it's boring but it gets me out o t'house, a chance to have a natter etc. The actual game is boring and I'll never win owt but you get set in your ways.

A Bramall Lane crowd is only difficult to play in front of if you don't have the mental strength to do so. These players are fortunate to be playing in front of the crowds that they are. In fact I cannot wait for those professional footballers who struggle to play in front of an expectant crowd to go off to the likes of Fleetwood, Crewe, Rochdale, Oldham etc. and play in front of fewer than 10,000 fans, of whom may tolerate their inabilities more so than Unitedites. Bottom line is that if they cannot cope with a big expectant crowd, they should not be here.

Some truth in that but Morgan said it was a problem and he knows the club inside out.

Perhaps they shouldn't be here but they are here and are selected to play. Where do you go from there Sunderland?

Perhaps they wholeheartedly wish they were elsewhere, but they're not!

It is a problem we have because of the demands of the fans,Adkins mentioned this early this season ,he also said it was a good thing
To be demanding. This is the reason we go for experienced players ime not saying I agree with that but every manager during this term in div1
has gone down that road (Wilson, weir and clough) I hope Adkins doasnt do the same. It's not easy to find young players with the mental strength to cope with the pressure of playing at the lane.Barnsley are a good example they have loaned a load of young players from top clubs would These players be able to cope with the pressure at Bramall lane, they were floundering not long ago but an influx of new loans
seems to have them flying ,when the pressures on as it will be if they maintain there present form will they be able to cope. The pressure would be on from day one at the lane, with the expectancy level it's not the same at Barnsley, but as I said earlier if they continue to climb the table it soon will be.That's the only danger with young players. With so many loans I would imagine the pressure wouldn't be as great since most will be going back to there parent club.

christ.. it's the fans again
all they have to do is look bothered and show some passion. i don't really care if they are crap but i'm not putting up with people like baxter and sammon strolling around and coutts not chasing back and dropping the beard in the shit every five minutes

Surely it's not healthy to rely on more than say 3 loan players in the squad if we are trying to build something. Definitely not healthy to have more than an odd older loan player and we have 3!!

Under our present circumstances young quality loan players with pace, drive, mobility and hunger would have been great. What we got has not helped at all and must have been far more expensive in wages. Criminal really, mismanagement as is the failure to ensure Reed and Adams get more and more playing experience.

Decisions like Salmon, Hammond and Edgar are not the board's fault. The fact that Woolford and Sharp have no pace is not the board's fault. The board have to find the money though.

Of course it's not the fans' fault but we are part of the problem.

Bramall Lane is a really tough place for Salmon, Woolford and Hammond to play and they are seasoned pros.

Unfortunately it's also a tough, unforgiving place for Reed and Adams now.

I'm not saying our fans are not loyal nor that we are not abused over decades, no other club with such backing has had so little success or has taken their fans to the brink only to let them down so many times. There are good reasons our crowd is depressed and cynical, but it doesn't help any player, particularly young players.

As a result any manager will only look to sign experienced players who can handle it better in theory. Unfortunately they have their own baggage and limitations and we need the things they don't have - pace, mobility and optimism.

By the way Baxter was a very young player when he signed for us and still is relatively young. He has his limitations but he has real skills; he also has hundreds of fans who holler at him when he makes the slightest mistake. What good is that to anybody?

You mean like Che Adams, K Wallace, Scougal and McNulty? All "young" players Clough was happy to sign and play in front of the baying mob! Or the old stager Coady that Weir drafted in. Oh how scared he looked.

Add to that players like Naughton, Walker, Maguire and Kennedy who all came through at a young age to thrive playing for the club.

Maybe, just maybe, it's to do with the skill level of the players after all.

Or maybe the players you mentioned had big bollocks and were mentally tough enough to cope?

I'm not saying I know the answer either.
