You're right we didn't help the situation but the referee is in charge of the game. He has the whistle for a reason to stop and start the game as he sees fit.

How many times do quick free kicks get pulled back by refs because the ball is moving or something else.

I hate it too but I hate losing even more. FA will never clamp down on crap refs so what can we do?

We have to adapt.

It was clear the referee was weak as **** and we should have adapted accordingly and hounded him.

You might be right but I still can’t believe he didn’t send off saville. I hate moaning about refs but the free kick he didn’t give ndaiye for a two handed shove was ludicrous as well. Not sure on the red card but mgw needs to stay on his feet and it’s not an issue.

I'm in agreement. You shouldnt have to try and influence the ref, but when it's clear that he's a fuckin clueless twat and has lost the plot, a bit of professional behaviour and making the ref make a decision wouldn't have gone amiss. I wanted to see a Utd player boot it out and then go to the referee... But we carried on playing and gave the ref a chance to play on. Fkin stupid on our part.

It's a bit like getting clipped in the box and trying to stay on your feet. A Coventry player did that on Saturday and didn't get the penalty away at Blackburn. He shouldn't have has to go down, but because the refs are so fkin abysmal, he was unprofessional in not doing so. He goes down, they get the penalty, and probably win the game.

We need to be more streetwise.

Not a chance. Hamer hurled himself to the ground and rightly got fuck all apart from hinder us by playing with 10 while he rolled around.

He never has allowed his players to do that and to be fair neither did Hecky.

He would sooner see refs show some bollocks and book players for diving.

That said even when we dive we get players sent off like MGW did the other season.

I'd agree it's worth diving if I thought the refs would actually give us a free kick for it.

I think even Hecky knew we would be unlikely to get a decision.
