Serious bit .. Having messed around with formation they tried 4-4-2 at Burnley . Now I will be honest I was one of those blades fans shouting for 2 up front

However it finally clicked last night watching match of the days excellent analysis . Zabaletta and Navas both world class players were completely confused and didn't know whether to overlap / pass to each other etcetc
Whilst watching this I flashed back to the last home game or two when Brayford has not got forward and not linked well at all with coutts or whoever
So ... It's taken kevin kilbane and jermaine jenas ( not world class players but clearly know the game ..) for me to go full circle and say ...

Do you know what for the remainder of the season let's just go back to what we know and go all out attack using that system

Every time I see Doyle on the team sheet I know we are going safety first!
You could be right though, every good team I've seen recently had marauding full backs.
Problem is, our wingers are expected to cut in and push upfront leaving the full backs to play as wingers instead of just overlapping and supporting them.

Comparison is there , but we have league1 players mixed with championship players , that is not jellying imo due to not having strong no nonsense , commanding centre backs . The full backs are the best in league 1 , we just need luck and a loan player.

All out attacking will not win us games , due to balls down the middle exposing us when our attacks break down

In saying all that , still time to sort it , but thats down to Clough and Co and needs doing sooner rather than later . Get a loan CH in this week and have Bash midfield with some height.

I think we just assumed it would work at 4-4-2 but now the team has to adapt to it a bit more.

One main reason it's not working though is because our defence is a complete mismatch of players and that is still an issue regardless of formation.
