We are going up

So we're fucked then. What a nice start as a supporter

Fuck em Topple, believe what you believe and use your own experiences to calibrate your expectation. You want to believe something then there will always be people (especially in Sheffield) who will want to pull you back into the pit. Don't let that stop you.

Welcome to being a blade if you are indeed a newbie.

I ve been a Blade for 43years. I was clinging to those white spikey railings since the age of 6. Being born and brought up in Derbyshire I never knowingly met a Wendy fan till I was 13.(leeds were biggest rivals) But when I did what an arrogant, odious bunch of wankers you were ever likely to meet. Don't get me wrong I do feel Sheffield needs a presence in the premier league and as football city it has fallen off the map nationally in recent years.
But no! Having a whole league between us would be too much to bear.

Maybe it's you

Maybe it is me who has been watching this clubs years and can observe and assess currents matters associated with Sheffield a United to be able to form measured and well reasoned judgements.

Welcome aboard the Bladeacoaster Topple and to a lifetime of ultimate failure and misery. Following SUFC is right up there with Stephen Patrick Morrisey and self harming.

If we had been promoted in 2012 maybe we would be in the pigs position with a rich owner that is ambitious. If we don't get up in the next few years then it will probably get worse for us but I have faith in Adkins, automatics may be off but if we get in play offs there is a chance we will go up to where we belong

Since when has a club been promoted two divisions. We'll have to do at least one season in the Championship first.

Doesn't count when it's United who score the last minute goal. Only last minute goals against count even if we've wiped the floor with the opposition.

Can we just clear something up? You say you love Sheffield so I assume you've been in the city for a while. How come you've only just started supporting the Blades?

I'm a new fan I'll admit of 6 months but I still love this club. We can get to champ with this squad if Nigel uses it correctly and we don't slip up. If not theres always next season

I'm a grumpy old bast**d of 51 years ( supporting ) and counting and I'm previously quoted as saying " there's more chance of me getting a steamy threesome with Kelly Brook & Scarlet Johannsen than this squad getting us promoted" !!

I have seen nothing yet that changes that prediction ....... although I'm prepared to "take one for the team" with the two lovely ladies if we do ! :D

a lot of negativity from you lot but thanks to the proper supporters welcoming me to the family.

plus bushblade the reason is because i wasn't born into a football supporting family, neither parents or my siblings cared and only now at the age of 30 have i actually fallen in love with football and so i decided to support the closest club to me. Is that such a bad idea.

Also if you lot hate the club so much why do you support us?

The negativity is killing us. a lot of people would be put off from supporting us. Hope we can do something and get to premiership

Don't get put off, Topple. 30 is late, but better late than never, eh? There's lots of doom and gloom 'round here because we're a tier too low and have been so for half a decade. So a lot of folk are longing for the Good Old Days when we mucked it up in The Championship with the best of 'em. I'm a tragic optimist as far as a Blades fan is concerned, and many would scoff at this, but we are very close to promotion. It's mad that we're a point off the top 6 in JANUARY and people are writing us off. Utter madness. But there ya go. Welcome to Ess Too For Ess Yoo Dot Com.

Not a bad idea no you picked the right Sheffield club. Pigs will lose their manager to a PL club before the season ends, will slip back and it'll be all doom and gloom over there again, and 38-45 quid ticket prices to boot.

Are you going to the Swindon game then?

Fair enough but what did you used to do on Saturday afternoons? I can just about deal with the close season but that's only because it's summer which lends itself to an all dayer in a beer garden.

I hear that apparently people go to parks and museums of a Saturday. Imagine living like that.

It's a shame the club is where it is Damski, and I hope we are aiming higher than the champ.

And wincobank. Let's hope so as that man has no place in the second tier. And jesus fucking christ 45 quid a ticket? Rip off.

I got tickets for wigan and port vale but am working Swindon match.

On Saturday I used to work but since getting a new job i've been watching matches mostly and just going on walks with family, my partner loves a good walk

It's not something you can just switch off from. As much as I'd like it to be.

Well, you stopped going to games and got rid of your season ticket yonks ago so I'd say that makes you fairly switched off.
