Who should we sign to make us competitive in the championship?
Pigs have spent 15 million this season which is tiny compared to other clubs. When we go up will Jimmy and the prince be prepared to splash the cash. Sheffield dominating football again is coming soon. Fuck Manchester. Sheffield was built on football. Steel City!
 



If there's one thing i love more than the blades it's Sheffield. My home city and I'm proud of being a sheffielder! I love Sheffield the greatest city under the sun

Good morning topple, I presume you've viewed the site before making that all important first post, so if you have I wonder why you've ran to the pool an bombed straight in with the positives..

The pool is very cold at the moment, possibly frozen, look before you leap ..

With the pleasantries aside, the firm answer would appear to be a big fat no regarding spending £15 million, I just couldn't see the current board doing this, kmc has had his time as a premiership chairman and has backed us as far as he can go in my opinion, our player recruitment seems to come from player sales and sponsorship revenues whereas the pigs got a self sponsored cash injection from chansiri, chansiri is a billionaire, our guys are going on about ffp, youth players bloating the squad, and generally prepairing excuses as to why there's not been a game changing investment as such, the odd signing has been good, but haven't we only paid two fees in the last two years, sharp n Brayford, and of cause we've seen three big outs in balance to that, I'm sure only sharp was paid for this season anyway..

We will recruit in January hopefully, but I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't, we won't however see the type of activity that happened at the sty pre season...

Adkins has never failed at this level.
3 seasons in league 1 and 3 promotions.
Got that? - never failed EVER!
 
You're a miserable bunch you lot. Have faith. If we get promoted then surely we will spend and if we don't we can get someone else interested in buying us as if the Wendies got someone then we can too.

It's more a case of knowing our place and not being delusional. It's play-offs at the absolute optimum, although I'm sure we won't get in them. I've even got a bet on with BTL I'm that confident. Hope I'm wrong, definitely can't see it. Mid-table is about the ability level of this squad, we'll level off as the season goes on, such is the awful recruitment we've had over the summer and consequent holes in crucial areas of the first team.
 
I'm a new fan I'll admit of 6 months but I still love this club. We can get to champ with this squad if Nigel uses it correctly and we don't slip up. If not theres always next season

If we had been promoted in 2012 maybe we would be in the pigs position with a rich owner that is ambitious. If we don't get up in the next few years then it will probably get worse for us but I have faith in Adkins, automatics may be off but if we get in play offs there is a chance we will go up to where we belong

Not being totally clued up on old Kim Jong eel I didn't realise he wasn't a billionaire, he's only worth £580 million and the family business turns over 3,7 billion per year, he's not shabby for a couple of quid..

Not that simple though, is it? Wendy 'kissed a lot of frogs' (Strafford, Azerbaijan-man and Strafford) before they got lucky with Chansiri and Carvahal. They had people like Wilkinson scouring the globe for an investor. Let's face it, McCabe for all the good he's done for United (and he has done a lot of good) is now showing signs that he has lost interest and is treading water.

Football, like life, doesn't stand still.

There's people on here who have been Unitedites for well over half a century, some less than that. They have seen and lived it all.

That's why we are in shit creek without propulsion.
