Best result of the season, we were under the cosh first half, credit to chesterfield.

To win that by 3 goals is brilliant

Under the cosh? Were we? That's not how I saw it. I thought we pretty much dominated it after they scored, having all the possession. Granted they looked like they could hit us on the break a couple of times but I didn't think we were in that much trouble. Just my opinion though.

Definitely the best result of the season!

Well done Blades...gradually turned it up to 11 when Clarke came on...too much for a defensive Chessie set up.

That was a great game, to watch. Things are looking up it seems now. Looks like Danny Wilson could lose his job after this result.

Could be the final nail in the coffin for Wilson that score.
Awesome second half. After watching Bolton earlier if that's the level of the teams up there, there's nothing to fear.

First half poor, stepped things up second half. Flecks is either awful or brilliant, second half he was class.

I thought the first half was pretty even, we looked like we had the better players and probably had more possession and had two very good chances, they worked hard and scored a good goal and hit the bar, but how many watching thought at half time, nothing to worry about we will score, maybe not four mindyou but that was a brilliant second half, I even saw leon Clarke look happy, honest.

The rest of the league must be crapping themselves atm, we are class! What a difference Wilder has made since changing things from our early season form, UTB!!

Thought we just lacked the final ball first half..2nd half we just bossed it...Thought Clarke made a big impact...Coutts and Fleck took control...great result.

We had the possession but never really got anywhere, chessys game plan was working a treat

I thought Duffy was very poor until we equalised. After that he was unplayable and got a couple of assists so fair play to him for sticking at it.

To be fair you are right, I was referring to his second half performance. Thought he ran it and kept us on the front foot. Busy player who frustrates at times but has that special something at others.

Well, what can we say about that.
The work rate & commitment was first class, it's a long time since I've seen that from us.... prior to this season.
This team wants to win & when it's not going to plan we carry on doing the things we've been taught believing that what we do will work over 90 minutes.
There's a long way to go & Chesterfield weren't great but this fixture had banana skin written all over it.
First half their Number 28 on the right looked a threat......did he even come out for the second half .........completely snuffed him out.
We've come through & hammered them..... not satisfied with taking the lead we look like a team that wants/can put teams to the sword. Last season they looked like they couldn't give a toss..... & probably didn't.
Huge (not massive) credit to Wilder & Knill, they're giving us a team to believe in & to be proud of.
As the token Blade in a boozer full of "Chesterfield when it suits us supporters" I enjoyed that.

I think the tactical change helped Duffy to be honest.
chessie loaded midfield, so moving him more to the right made him a bit more space. And credit him for not letting some poor delivery get in his head, just shows what can be done with a positive mental attitude and a never give in mentality.

Out of all the sides I have seen this season in this league.....without any bias or rose tinted specs I can say we are the best side in the league as we stand.
Of course with a long way to go, there are too many contingencies we need to plan for to be completely confident to say we are going up.

However, no injuries, keep loaned players and we will take some stopping.

An absolute demolition job, second half at least.
Clarke's goal was a beauty as was Fleck's.

Special mention for Duffy. Class today.
Shows how we all see things differently, thought Duffy was a passenger most of the game

Wouldn't say we were poor first half. Chesterfield got the early goal and just sat deep and got bodies behind the ball making it difficult to get a clear sight on goal. Danger was they might get another on the break but we generally controlled the game. Needed to be patient which we were and once we got the equaliser there was only going to be one winner. Credit to Wilder as he realised once Ched went off they had no threat up front and took a a defender off to bring Leon on. Totally overran them after that. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon.

Both his and Freeman's crosses were terrible in the first half, kept overhitting it. More than made up for it in the second half though.

Performance of the season

Just like many chesterfield fans did today, do not think you have won a game or have promotion until it has actually happened, always comes back to haunt you stuffing it in everyone's faces come the end of the game or season!

Seasons we lost to Huddersfield in the play-offs and Wednesday getting promotion was the key time I learnt that lesson.
