In patches I thought we played some good football but not consistently too many misplaced passes and glaring misses must improve or we will be struggling bottom four imo

Patchy performance. That said I don't think we should have lost the match.

I think we played better for longer periods in regards to passing and movement. Previous games we started worse. Defensively we were not at our best.

With the exception of first half at Chelea, performances have been pretty even. The games have all turned on fine margins, positive and negative. Team ethic and concentration in both penalty areas are going to be crucial.

Good at times, sloppy at others with well telegraphed passing at times. With finishing like yesterday we are going to have to keep an awful lot of clean sheets.

I sure hope that it was not our best performance 17 shots with no goals is embarrassing.

Not to mention how they dribbled past our defenders untouched for their goal.

Play like that, be a bit more clinical and hope that the VAR official does his job properly. We'll be fine.

Mustn't let games v Top 2 drain us of confidence ( no Top 6 to fear any more). We are good enough when our team settles.

I thought we played well in parts. I wouldn't say it was our best performance in ball retention, i'd say that was Palace.

But yesterday was a very encouraging performance and we played some good stuff.

I'd say thought that none of our performances except Palace have been anywhere near the standard that we have come to expect from United under Wilder. We're still getting going.

We can say that the opposition is much better, certainly from an attacking perspective we're facing sides that can punish mistakes, but we're not getting overrun by anyone and i think that's the frustration for me. If we were performing at the absolute limits of our abilities we could tip our caps to the opposition and just say that they're better than us.

But we're conceding and not scoring because of simple mistakes and choices. 9/10 times Didsy would hit the target, he's a better player than that miss.

So i can't say that yesterday was our best performance as we didn't do so many simple things right. It was almost a typical post international break performance.

I do expect a reaction from us against Everton and I think we'll get it, but whether its enough against what seems to be a very decent team, we'll see

I wouldn't say yesterday was our best performance. We were well on top for 75 mins of the Palace game and deservedly won. Away at Chelsea we dominated for the entire second half and deservedly took something from the game.

Yesterday was the first time I thought we deserved more than we got, but even then I wouldn't call it a robbery. A tight game decided by one huge mistake and one moment of real quality to capitalise on it.

Disappointed with yesterday’s performance against an average but cunning side.
Only game we’ve not scored in so all in all probably our least impressive performance.
I thought we were excellent against Palace and very good against a strong Leicester team.

No - big reality check. Didn’t think Southampton created that much either and been at home we should be winning these games. Also might be a controversial view point but I don’t agree McGoldrick’s name is in the dirt now over hearing conversations leaving the lane yet Billy’s getting cheered for a red card ? I haven’t actually seen the tackle he made as I’m at the back of the kop and struggle to see anyway especially when I feel like Saturday everyone in front of me was 6ft tall - was it a straight red ?
