Was the game against Hull Stolen.

Fucking hell. When there’s a smidgeon of suspicion that a ref might have got one wrong (but he didn’t), owners can complain without recourse and fucking PGMOL offer apologies?

The fucking shit we’ve had over the years with referee performances boarding on bent, we get the book thrown and fuck all in the way of what Hull have just received.

Every week, something we used to call football dies and I’m just about done with it.

They are crying on twitter in response to pgmol apology. Hahaha, should have been sent off before 2nd yellow and regards penalty 3 fouls in box so deserved to get one. About time it went our way

Both their owner and manager seems to be fruit cakes.

Their reaction to Saturday is nothing short of embarrassing. Be frustrated with the penalty but the other stuff is laughable.

They weren't the best team or robbed.

As for calling Lunny's post out, he should be more concerned with his manager's behaviour.

It’s TSB….tough shit baby.

I thought the same .

There were three obvious fouls against our players which entitled the ref to rightly give us a penalty , the most blatant of which being the one on Bamford who was grabbed from behind by the throat and pulled backwards over the goal line.

The suggestion that he was being harsh in giving it on the basis that “it happens every week all over the country “ is ridiculous .

His job is to apply the rules of the game and in this case he did so perfectly correctly . If more of them were to follow his example , it might put an end to the crazy situation which now the defending of corners and free kicks has become .

As for Lunny’s sending off , there can be no argument and it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy !

All match stats are in our favour and most by a big margin.
We have ruined there outside chance of top two.
Couldnt have happened to a nicer club.
They know Soton will win play offs if they don't pickup injuries in the FA cup semi..
Best teams by a Country mile are Soton.

By apologising it gives every side that blatantly cheat by wrestling and other shithousery at every opportunity, a free pass to continue ruining a supposed game of football

Is it just me?
Even the Radio Sheffield commentator said he couldn't see anything wrong with situation that caused his first booking.
You can clearly see Lunny stand on McGuinness leg as he 'stepped over him'

It was definitely intentional, if that had been other way round you can guarantee mcguinness would have been sent off

Bizarre apologising for that.

Nothing outrageous about the yellows.

Ref Warner them about holding and there were 2 or 3 offenses in there.

The fact that you see harsher yellows let go or you see players wrestle each other is neither here nor there.

Makes Kevin Friend look a wet blanket for making anything if it.

Seriki’s red and Pring’s non-red were far more contentious.

I think you get hyperbole from every fanbase if you lose a game the way that Hull did on Saturday. Going from 1-0 > red card > conceding a pen > losing the game after leading for 80 minutes is always going to sting a bit. And when the officials have an impact on proceedings the way they did on Saturday, they're always going to have the blame laid at their feet by the team on the losing side, even if the decisions made were perfectly fair.

I have zero doubt that had the game played out in reverse, and we had been the ones to lose in the manner that Hull did, there would have been utter outrage at the ref's performance on here.
Said exactly this in shoutbox. Ref was absolutely awful and gave nothing their way. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the win, but can't say we deserved it to be honest with how we played for the best part of the match.

But also, lundstrum is a grade A length.

Red cards change games 9 times out of ten.

Some are deserved and some are not, same thing with penalties, and when down to 10 men, penalties become more likely to happen as desperation takes hold, the player that drags bamford into the net was a prime example of that..

Classic game of two halves, we just got the better of the refs decisions, which hasn't been the case since burrows scored a fine goal at Wembley..

As for lunny getting upset, deliberately stamped on mcguinness to draw him into a confrontation, then was late on brooks which was a yellow all day long.

Lunny has always thought himself better a player than he actually is, Brooks is one of the quickest players in the division, and he's a carthorse, he was always gonna have to commit another foul at some point.

They want to ask themelves why the manager left him on when he was a total liabilty all game..
