£3500pw sounds about right for what he was worth at the time he signed it. That was probably at the lower end of the squad earnings, but seems reasonable when you take into account his age and the fact he started the season as the back-up right winger. Yes he forced his way into the side when it became clear Ifill wasn’t making the step up, but he extended his initial one-year deal as a back-up player and could hardly expect that to be revisited immediately. I was surprised by the attitude at the time, given when we picked him up he seemed nearly on the footballing scrap-heap.

I’ve always had more than a passing disliking for a Reading ..forever and a day they were shit and played they played infront of 4000 at Elm Pk and along comes Majdeski and another 11k appear but speak to them they were all one of the Elm Park faithful , they are of those fkg annoying plastic clubs clubs like MK Dons & Peterborough from nowhereville whose fans seem to think there teams play like fucking Brazil .
