The last time we achieved promotion from the championship under Warnock we found a way of winning games late on,turning draws into wins made the difference between automatic promotion and play-offs.It calls for a brave manager to possibly sacrifice a point in the persuit of three,Wilder did it last season and often it backfired. However,i am glad to say it hasn't changed his philosophy and he is getting his rewards so far this season,if you draw too many games you will not be promoted automatically,we have to be brave and 'roll the dice'.

If you gamble in a drawing position and it pays off once for every two reversals then you still come out even. The only thing you lose are the message board tantrum chuckers. :)

I was glad we went to try to win against Bristol city at home last year, even though that seemed to be the turning point for going for the win instead of a draw.

I would always say go for it

If only Warnock had been that brave in the Premiership.

I feel as though this time last season the mentality after going behind in the 2nd half would have been throw on two other strikers, chuck on Carruthers, and see what happens. A lot of credit should go to Wilder today for sticking with the front two when the arguably easy option for a manager is to just change the strikers.

Wasn't wilder being criticised in the last two games for changing his tactics to holding on to what we have?

Damn good trait to have and one that under Warnock certainly got us a good few wins , we’ve dug out 7 points more from the Norwich , Preston , Brum & MIllwall games that I think we wouldn’t have got last season

The test will come later in the season if we are still in the mix and we are going up against teams around us. For instance, the Bristol game last year we should have settled for a point but didn’t and lost ground to a close rival because of it.

i haven't really checked but it seems that this season we seem to be turning teams over that beat us last season??

we don't do 'settle for a point' .. i'm happy with that :)

Against Preston he was being criticised for making an unnecessary change to counter a non existent threat which was made worse by the fact that the formation change was incomprehensible not only to fans, but his own players. Credit where it's due though he has managed to select his strongest side for a couple of weeks and didn't fuck about with it at Millwall.

You have to play the match situation at the time, Wilder himself admitted he called it wrong v Bristol at home last season and should have settled for the point. This season when we have got our noses in front late on Wilder has been bringing on Stearman and pushing Basham into midfield.

Cannot believe we lost that game. Hit woodwork 5 times and battered them then Flint pops up in last minute ....
