Jamie Ward's agent has played down reports linking the player with West Brom, insisting he is happy at Sheffield United.
Reports earlier this week suggested West Brom were preparing a move to lure Ward away from Championship rivals United.
Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo is thought to be keen to bolster his squad in the New Year as he looks to maintain their promotion push and it was claimed Ward was one of his top targets.
However, the player's representative, Gino Culbertson, insists he is in the dark over the rumours and says the Northern Ireland international is happy at Bramall Lane.
"As far as the West Brom link goes I am not aware of any truth in the matter," Culbertson told skysports.com.
"Jamie is very happy at Sheffield United and he is a big fans' favourite there.
"I know Kevin Blackwell rates Jamie very highly and I think it is just paper talk."
Ward has impressed at United since his arrival from Chesterfield last January and Culbertson is planning talks with Blades officials over a new deal for the former Aston Villa youngster.
"Sheffield United are very happy with Jamie's progress and I plan to sit down with them at the end of the year and discuss a new deal possibly for Jamie.
"He has two years left on his contract and hopefully he will get rewarded with an extension."
