Ive just had a tweet saying Walsall away is live on sky on November 12th ,anyone else confirm this ?

will ,Andy Butler ,Fabien Brandy , Daryl Westlake, Florent Cuvelier etc etc be playing for them......or us......or them

good in one way, but our record on sky is pretty crap from memory.

Any statistician know our win/draw/loss stats on sky?

Every time they play on TV, during a lull in play, the commentators always say something to the effect of -

"And of course, Sheffield United, something of a sleeping giant side"

"That's right John, another big club, now resting in the lower leagues, it does happen"

"I think a lot of the fans watching at home would love to see a Steel City derby in the Premier League in the not too distant future"

etc

It a good job its on Sky, seen as though it is away in Poland...

Anyone else going to this? Or is it likely to be just Foxy and I sitting on our lonesome in the away end?

Better get your tickets quick sharp, they've only given us 400

Decided to give Walsall a miss as I'm going to Crewe and Donny. Been to Walsall a few times and it's like Colchester and a couple of others in the sense that I go but I don't really enjoy it. Bit of a rubbish away day. Crewe isn't great but FA Cup ain't it and that ranks above Dulux tester pot cup.

Shred doesn't do that many away matches these days since his illness.
Sorry to hear that. I saw him at Chesterfield match (he didnt see me as he was talking to a friend) and I had assumed he looked well

I'm fairly sure they are REQUIRED to give us more. I know the UEFA rule is 5% of the ground has to be given to the away fans. 5% of their capacity is 565. I'm fairly sure the Football League rules are 10% (1130).I also know that in the FA Cup it's 15% (1695).

So surely we have legal grounds to demand more?

Clubs are only required to give you what is considered to be a safe limit upon the design of the ground.
Therefore you will get the "normal" away end or side and then any extra that the home club, Police and H&S believe is safe.

At Villa last January, we got the normal premiership away bit (approx. 3,000) plus the whole upper section behind the goal (4,500), even though we didn't take all of that allocation.

If you get an away cup tie at Old Trafford, you again get the normal premiership corner, plus the entire upper tier behind the goal.

The Arsenal cup game v Tottenham a couple of years ago, the upper and lower tier were given to the away fans and there was loads of trouble, so since then all they do is section off the lower tier.

It is all because away fans, when in great numbers cannot control themselves, so clubs fall back on police and H&S requirements, which I must add, totally overrides any rules within the FA or football league.

Premiership rules apparently state that you must give away fans 3,000 tickets if they ask for them, but we had special dispensation in 2006 as the BL Lower didn't quite hold that amount.
