Current state of snow coverage about 8-9 miles away...

Weather in the next 24 hours shouldn't mean a frozen pitch or surroundings either.

I'm saying...

GAME ON!

Agree it looks like the match is more likely to be on than off but in the past they've had postponments for a frozen pitch and having seen how risk averse folk seem to be nowadays, especially the nutty media making a big fuss about out of two flakes of snow, anything is possible. Anyone know if there is a pitch inspection and if so what time, saw nothing on the walsall web site ?

Just seen reporters on the bbc saying how terrible it is there's a bit of ice on the pavement somewhere and how its brought traffic to a standstill when you can clearly see the traffic behind him driving around normally at 30 mph. Bedwetters the lot of them.

Lets block cars in when theres plenty of free spaces :D

Ah - the vagaries of the Parking system here - the blocking in is the First Come first served area where the "free" spaces are allocated to the higher grades.

And before you start suggesting that it should all be FCFS, you can sod off, I don`t want some junior oik in my space...

I'm happy to note that the loft insulation is up to scratch 8-9 miles from Walsall.

I bet it's not as good in Wolverhampton. :D

about 7 miles away the snow is quickly disappearing and fall has stopped so think it will go ahead.

Tut! When I had my proper job, I insisted on a strict first come first parking policy for all levels of staff and management at head office in Burton. Except for customer parking ...and the space right outside my office of course which was mine.

I knew that I was on my way out when the cleaner's daughter started parking there.

Bing!

Yes - its one of the new ones.

I could claim omniscience, but that was where Trig Jnr (TE) lived in his first year at University. Luckily, he was only on the first floor, which made moving in easier for him than the poor sods who were higher up.

In the second year onwards, he was in, er, Selly Oak, not too for from the Selly Soak launderette (plus the Selly Sausage café of course). Not that you asked, but he's back in Edgbaston, right by the cricket ground, moving later this month to Moseley, home of the Shoals :-)

Was slightly chilly with no frost against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup a few years ago and they called it off about an hour before kick off because the pitch was a bit hard.

Bells.

I was in the Westbourne Road halls back in the day!
