Have you looked at our league position?

The players we bought in the summer were generally well received, the only one to disappoint has been Robinson.

Your question suggests we should have added to this bunch, but once the window had closed we went with what we have.
As for additional quality....do you really think that this hasn't crossed Wilder's mind? But he has a budget and works within it, so try a little patience. The next big transfer window (January is a far more difficult window in which to capture the type of game changing recruit your post seems to imply) will happen this summer, so we'll see who Wilder wants and who he manages to sign. Have faith pal.

It's not been a problem but where it will become a problem is with contract renegotiations. Lundstram is the first test but when the like of JOC, Egan, Fleck, Baldock, Steven's agents are talking about their next package they are going to want 'Villa' type pay.

This is when things can start to get a bit sour.

It will be a challenge. I hope for steady, sensible increases to the wage ceiling and that it will be enough to keep our top players.

The next round of contracts will be difficult. The players will have seen that United are paying the lowest in the PL.

Being honest, we all know from our own working life what a demotivator it is seeing colleagues earning more money no matter how happy you are in your job.

We're fifth in the Prem as I type this, how far are we been held back?
I do like the ambition though.

How much we pay a player there will be an agent that can negotiate a better contract somewhere else but we don’t want to be thought as a poor paying club.

We should be able to pay them a decent wage quite comfortably providing we stay up.

As for new signings, it should be obvious how CW works by now.

Play for the club, not the wage packet. As long as wage growth is organic and protected with relegation clauses plus nice bonuses for success think we can still be an attractive proposition.

I've seen plenty of stuff on line stating our overall player wage budget at less than £20m

Looking at previous years, no one has paid less than £50m in wages, with lower income then this year. I find it difficult to believe we are that far adrift. If that was the case surely loads of teams would be on the phone to our players agents offering to double their wages and that would surely be tempting to every one of them

Wilder has already commented on contracts saying there is a wage structure in place and that moves up with the level we're playing at.
The club wont break that for the individual ,
The team is bigger than an individual !

It was around that in the Championship season. Any press guesses will be based on that but even the dumbest hack should be able to work out promotion salary increases and new signings would have added to that.

How it finances the £50m due to McCabe in July will potentially impact the wages/transfer budgets.

personally think we should stick to a model that reflects the club, the area it’s from and the people who go week in week out.
yes it should rise if we are able to stabilise and become a settled premier league club but let’s not get to the point where one bad season could see the club go pop
