I think there will be only one "winner" here.

Smeets, Taylor and Forte are all worthy of votes. This is the toughest yet.

Andy Taylor. Penalty specialist my fucking arse, even though for some reason it made me vote for Axel Smeets.

Axel Smeets. The only footballer I've ever known who looked genuinely confused when presented with a ball and a set of goalposts.

I really want to vote for Taylor - shit, injured and cost us a promotion place - but I keep thinking of Forte's miss against Carlisle...

No-one missed a worse chance that Smeets against Walsall in August 1999. As has been mentioned many times before, he rounded the keeper and was literally faced with an empty net about 10 yards out. However, by the time he steadied himself to shoot half the Walsall defence had got back to block.

I know, but I was not present, so that is less upsetting than what that bastard Forte did.

Axel Smeets, Axel Smeets
Running down the wing
Axel Smeets, Axel Smeets
He can even sing
It shows what i knows
Cos that's Axl Rose
Axel Smeets, Axel Smeets, Axel Smeets

Yeah i'm bored. Sue me.
:)

There is generally far more competition for the worst player in each number than the best player. Which says something....

I wrote this in another thread: Taylor will be my vote for worst. A truly woeful player. Absolutely terrible in the Championship and awful in League One. He was slow, had poor positional play, did not work hard and his distribution was gash. Plus I will never forgive him for his penalty miss. He was brought on just to take a penalty. Surely that meant the twat had been practising?! He was a massive embarassment to the Blades shirt and fully wants being in the worst squad.
