It's what happens when improvements are made, a proper game plan is in place, and a team wants to do things to win a game of football rather than trying to steal something from them.

We've had a 30 odd year history of absolute boredom on our pitch due to management having to make do with what we've got.

Disagree. Bogle is quality, Lowe is quality (on what we've seen) yet manager chooses his faves. That's the issue. Not the players, the manager refusing to let go of the "old guard"

I do think the lack of fans is hurting us badly the games seem to be like behind closed doors friendlies hence our lack of drive and energy. In a game where there is no physical contact or tackling then technical ability comes to the fore and that is one area where we are lacking compared to most, I can see Burnley and West Brom struggling too this season.

I completely agree with this. But we've got to find a way to overcome the negativity of the situation...and I'm pretty sure playing this defensive style isn't the answer. 5 now btw!

If we keep playing as we have done today, we certainly aren't OK as we are. We have to create more and we have to be more progressive. I'm not advocating wholesale changes, massive change in style, anything like that. This isn't a post of panic, more of disappointment because we know we can do so much better but we to have lost the plot somewhat going forward. You can't argue with one goal and one goal only so far this season unfortunately.

Then add the huge wage differential. Then add another five or six years of heavy spending since relegation. It all impacts.

You can't say that. It's 4 games in. I'd put a quid on Lowe, Ampadu, and Brewster all improving our first xi before long.

And Ramsdale definitely improved it unless you thought Foderingham, Moore and Verrips was sufficient for the Prem.

I know it's shit at the moment but nothing is decided
