Clubs like Villa, West Ham and Leeds try to build a successful team by buying talented but expensive individuals and hoping that success builds the team spirit and ethos.
We started with an ethos, and then we looked at where we need to improve the team and which talented individuals that match that ethos are available.
That in creates our success.

We are a team in a true sense of the word rather than just a collection of talented individuals and while it's not quite as exciting as throwing money at the latest big name but it's our thing.

He's definitely a player I would have liked us to go for. I would be annoyed if he signed for Leeds. Ibrahimovic or cavani would be hilarious. They don't sound like Bielsa signings. He would probably still pick Bamford.

Cavani has agreed a deal with Benfica apparently.

I know Leeds think they're massive, but it's been 19 years since they were a Champions League team, it's a massive risk for players like Cavani to sign for them as a newly promoted side regardless of how they think they'll do or who the manager is.

Same as with Sander, he didn't join until he knew he'd be a Prem player the year after. I'd concentrate on plugging up some gaps and see where they are in January if I were them, to be honest I think it's just the owners trying to be super positive and putting all these names out.

Load of bollocks if you ask me. Player touting and clubs trying to announce themselves as here and back in the big time. All this bloody talk of Cavani and Ibra makes me laugh, go for it I’d say, you,d have thought Leeds would have learned a lesson from the last decade about spunking money in the wrong places maybe they will repeat the same mistake. Villa on the other hand are apparently not going to bring many in this season (by many they probably mean 17) and according to dean smith the £110 million plus they spent was good value for money regardless of the fact they only just managed to stay up.

I think it is a bit unfair yet to compare Leeds to West Ham and Villa Agents must be rubbing their hands together that Villa stayed up so they can push their "names" forward for for over inflated fees and wages. Both Villa and West Ham will sigh around six players with many coming from abroad. They will not arrive until either just before the season starts and struggle to fit into the sides in addition Villa and west ham could lose players eg Grealish. Predict that after poor starts both Smith and Moyes will be gone. Will Leeds be the same - who knows But I think Everton could do a similar thing and I am interested in what Southampton do in terms of selling. If they sell Ings for example a few others might think about leaving.

Villa's transfer situation mainly depends on what happens to Grealish. Apparently he wants to go to Man Utd but Villa want at least as much as Maguire i.e. 80m.
