At last a grown up post and you are correct in that vital information. It was the critical match to get into the play-offs maybe. Stick to history and facts Silent. Horses for courses. You probably didn't even notice Reeves.

No need to get narky because you were exposed for not knowing what the fuck you're talking about.....again.

same sentiments in 1989 exactly
nah waint appen ,,, too soon ,,, too big a gulf

just getting 19th was the aim survival

but we did what we did and without major recruitment

I don't suppose I was alone on Saturday in wondering if a club could 'do a Sheff. United/Wimbledon' in the current game. I'd say it's impossible. To take a rag-tag bunch of triers like Booker, Gannon, Downes etc and make it to the top flight - and ruffle more than a few feathers when there - is anathema to the powers-that-be in football. They'd make certain the big-boys were protected with ludicrous refereeing decisions, plain bias and turning a blind eye to shady practices.

Just like in 2006/7.

I'm always amazed when Downes gets a mention. He hardly ever played for us let alone being a shithouse.

That's the big question.

If promoted this season then would our intentions next season be

1: Mid table consolidation or
2: Compete at the top and go for promotion?

I suspect it might be option 1 just so Wilder can suss out the league. Remember he's no experience of Championship football, althou he had no experience of league 1 level football either before joining us.

Then the 2nd season Wilder will know more about what he wants, so I think serious money will only be spent in the 2nd season.
Think he will be given the release codes to that original "game changing" money.

They didn't come here to piss about with ultra-defensiveness or waste time, they went for it.

Scoring after just 2 minutes does tend to have a negative effect on the opposition's time wasting plans. They didn't have much choice did they?

I'm pretty sure had it been 0-0 at half time, their keeper would have been taking kicks for the opposite side, tapping his boots on the post, have a pre-kick drink etc etc. It is sadly now standard away team practice.

Tends to be standard practice when Ms Crab wants me to do anything too.

831 is a really decent away support, especially with it being all ticket.

Can't fault their support.
But was it really all ticket for them.
If it is why, not saying it would have made much difference but some fans might not decide to go until Friday night Saturday morning.
Can understand Bradford, Chesterfield, Scunthorpe and Bolton and possibly Millwall ( for different reasons) but not any others being all ticket.
You ever seen the queues at BDTBL ticket office on a match day?

Why would we want to employ even more staff to accommodate visitors who can buy a ticket at their own clubs expense for weeks before the game?
